Job Description

The Senior Client Development Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of advertiser account relationships. Sr. Account Managers play a key role in support of CJ's advertisers. Sr. Account Managers are responsible for developing affiliate marketing strategies that meet advertiser objectives. Sr. Account Managers lead account teams to tactically execute affiliate marketing campaigns. The Sr. Account Managers are also responsible for projecting CJ fees as a result of these activities and identifying opportunities to organically grow accounts, upsell additional services where appropriate, and mitigate account risks. Account Managers are responsible for establishing trusted adviser relationships as the affiliate marketing expert. The Account Manager is the internal team lead and is responsible for staffing and developing capabilities of the internal teams, and ensuring team members work cohesively to scale and meet client needs across a portfolio of accounts.

Key Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 4 - 6 Associate Account Managers and Account Representatives in support of a portfolio of advertisers.
  • Manage client relationships and develop a deep understanding of advertiser's corporate and marketing objectives.to develop affiliate marketing strategies that deliver high impact results.
  • Define platform feature and capability enhancements as a product stakeholders on behalf of advertisers.
  • Grow CJ client revenues and accurately forecast revenue growth, potential upside and risk, realizing upside and mitigating risk.
  • Develop and lead presentations for advertiser affiliate marketing strategies and quarterly business reviews.
  • Convey CJ's value proposition, addressing client objections and functioning as point of escalation for advertiser or publishers joined to advertiser programs.
  • Supervise a team of 4 - 6 affiliate marketing professionals.

Qualifications

  •  A bachelor's degree from a four-year university--preferred from a top tier school, and ideally with a degree that promotes an aptitude for analytics and critical thinking.
  • You have 5 - 6 years of experience working in a marketing role--ideally digital performance marketing.
  • You are hyper-focused on exceeding expectations--you are an over achiever.
  • Your work is of exceptional quality---you are detail oriented, strive to "know what is knowable" and deliver accurate analyses.
  • You are results oriented--able to understand what matters most, and able to creatively overcome obstacles.
  • You are able to effectively lead--prioritize and scale activities in support of accounts so you can develop affiliate marketing strategies and campaigns that exceed advertiser expectations.
  • You have an engaging, outgoing personal style--you enjoy working on a team and supporting a talented, fun group of marketing professionals.
  • You are able to develop annual and quarterly financial plans, and lead teams to successfully execute against these plans, across multiple client teams, delivering high quality service and exceptional results.
  • You are a clear and effective communicator--within CJ and when interfacing with clients--using solid business acumen, demonstrating a expert command of affiliate marketing.
  • You are able to clearly articulate CJ value propositions and handle objections. and develop affiliate marketing strategies and quarterly business reviews that are clear and insightful.
  • You accurately project client revenues, publisher commissions and CJ fees--effectively identifying upsides and risks, and managing to realize most upside and mitigate risks on behalf of CJ's clients and CJ.
  • You are organized, disciplined, and have the financial acumen to deliver your Plan of Record.
  • You are a critical thinker and problem solver--able to influence/develop account strategies that contribute to advertisers' overall objectives. You leverage best practices across CJ's Account Management organization to elevate CJ's impact and value add by delivering more insightful results than CJ's competitors or its client can on its own.
  • You are deeply interested in rapidly enhancing your skills to take your career to the next level, work hard, eagerly train, and are receptive to feedback from coaches within CJ's Account Management organization--CJ is highly focused on developing talent, places great emphasis on helping you be the best that you can be, promoting from within, and giving you every opportunity to excel and progress to greater levels of responsibility and influence at higher levels of pay.
