Job Description

As a Manager, Program Management you will be managing complex, multi-track projects or small-scale programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high performance standards.

  • He/she uses advanced problem solving skills, business skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship building skills, as well as strong leadership and team management skills.
  • He/she must have a solid understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and the flexibility to lead diverse and dynamic teams to deliver balanced integrated solutions to our client’s challenging business problems.

  • In performing the essential functions of this role, the work environment is fast-paced, moderately noisy and team-based. Additionally, frequent overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Some key responsibility areas will be - Planning and Estimation, Stakeholder Management, Vendor Management, Issue and Risk Management.
  • Assist Product Owners and teams in story writing, backlog maintenance and prioritization and planning. Facilitating creation and prioritization of program-level feature and architectural backlogs
  • Serve as teams’ or programs’ information radiator, representing the team or program to senior management, stakeholders and sponsors
  • Effectively use metrics and data visualization to report progress and support data-driven decision making at the team or program level
  • Facilitate estimation and planning at the team or program level. Assisting in creating useful, reliable and practical forecasts for delivery sprints and releases
  • Coach developer, designer and product team members in Agile practices, values and principles
  • Help teams and individuals clarify goals, and actions to achieve them.
  • Shield the team from outside distractions, context switching and interference.
  • Track and remove impediments.
  • Build a safe environment with an emphasis on collaboration and problem solving

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • 3+ years of experience with scaled Agile (SAFe, LESS) in a hands-on leadership role (e.g. Agile Program Manager)
  • Should have participated actively in PI Planning and have hands on experience on the same
  • Financial Services experience is required.
  • Hands on experience with JIRA for planning, tracking, reporting and road mapping
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Must have experience leading a team of around 15-20 team members in an Agile environment.
  • Experience working in multi-geo or offshore environment and remote teams
  • Previously established framework for analysis and prioritization of resolution strategies
  • Previously established project processes to ensure compliance
  • Certified on at least one of the mentioned Scaled Agile Certifications (Agilist, Scrum Master, Advanced Scrum Master, Release train Engineer, Practitioner)
