Job Description

Overview 

As a member of the Analytics & Technology team, the Associate Director (AD) guides a team responsible for the development and delivery of data driven solutions for improving marketing performance and the understanding of consumer insights. The AD will focus on the development of client analytic strategies and the design of frameworks and methods across the practice. They will lead clients, agency teams, and partners through the transformation of digital marketing strategies and operationalization of key functions, balancing learning and creativity with efficiency and automation.  This role must be able to solve business issues through data, creativity, and human-insights. They should be able to contribute in cultivating and growing the analytics teams and build/form relationship with various key stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Define, prioritize, and execute various analytics projects including budgeting and scenario planning, test design, campaign optimization, and advanced report production  

  • Responsible for developing KPI framework and modeling performance benchmarks/forecasts 

  • Develop, maintain, and/or evolve a robust data infrastructure to enable automation 

  • Contribute toward budget and tactical planning process with measurement and optimization recommendations  

  • Participate independently in weekly/monthly client calls and lead analytics focused calls 

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities and projects 

 

Client Leadership & Business Development  

  • Provide strategic guidance to senior client stakeholders and partners to design, prioritize, and implement projects that improves marketing investment and analytical maturity  

  • Lead development of analytics roadmap to address client’s business and marketing objectives  

  • Work cross-functionally with Media and Account Directors, developing integrated and cross-channel marketing solutions that improves marketing performance  

  • Identify and lead cross-sell/up-sell opportunities and strategies 

 

People & Team Development  

  • Manage and/or mentor Analytics Manager, Senior Analysts, and Analysts 

  • Responsible for resource management of direct and indirect team  

  • Participate in team member recruiting and retention efforts  

  • Establish expectations and goals for team members while supporting with training/resources  

  • Contribute in developing and refining analytic team‘s vision and annual goals 

 

Practice Development  

  • Enhance and improve formal frameworks and methods using advanced analytics techniques  

  • Strengthen the use of data and thought leadership across the organization  

  • Identify new trends, technologies, and solutions in the marketplace and develop business plans to address client/industry needs 

  • Develop new solutions for clients that can be added to department’s roster and capabilities of products and services 

Qualifications

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in marketing analytics and business consulting using data to drive client performance 

  • 3-4 years of client-facing/consulting and 1-2 years of management experience  

  • Degree in business or quantitative disciplines such as statistics, mathematics, or economics; MBA or Advanced Degree a plus 

  • Excellent knowledge of one or more analytics disciplines including Predictive Modeling, Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution, CRM, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing  

  • Experience in multivariate testing, multivariate regression/logistic, mixed modeling, factor/principal components analysis, classification algorithms, support vector machines, random forest, or other machine learning techniques 

  • Experience with R, Python, or other similar statistical and data mining tools 

  • Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Datorama and a strong understanding of relationship database a plus 

  • Proficient in utilizing web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics  

  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills  

  • Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks  

  • Proven experience managing or mentoring a team
