Job Description

Develop digitally led cross-channel activation strategies and coordinates media plans for a large retail client. They will work closely with other activation team members on these cross-channel strategies as well as our analytics team to maintain quality control of the media campaigns in market and continually evaluate and improve performance against client goals. The Manager is key to building and maintaining industry publisher relationships. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can be a mentor to junior planners, a leader within the agency, and a partner with our clients. The manager will help in the ideation and activation of cross-channel content programs. The role requires a person who is passionate about media, content, creative, production, and the details that go into taking a program concept from ideation to implementation. 

 

Role Objectives:

  • Develop targeted marketing programs to deliver clients’ goals and objectives which includes: responding to client requests for proposals, providing idea generation, recommending appropriate marketing programs, partners and media outlets, securing client approval, negotiating deals, and formulating appropriate budgets and timelines
  • Interface with the marketplace to build partnerships and relationships with key content developers, publishers, and vendors
  • Oversee a team, providing guidance and support to foster growth and creative thinking
  • Manage client budgets across multiple tactics
  • Partners with Analytics, Ad Ops, and Creative teams 
  • Provides strategic insights for weekly client reports 
  • Writes media POVs 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and liaise between internal and external teams
  • Guide programs through legal process and ensure all deliverables meet agency and client legal requirements
  • Oversee a variety of projects simultaneously and be a supportive player on other teams’ projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of digital activation within an advertising agency
  • Superior organizational skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and oversee execution of numerous projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and organization skills 
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to strategically think from a client’s perspective
  • Ability to think conceptually and to translate those concepts into actionable plans to drive clients’ businesses forward
  • Solid presentation skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences
  • Proven experience writing presentations and media POVs
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills 
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior staff 
  • Awareness of consumer trends and insights
  • Proven experience in construction of marketing programs and exposure to contract negotiations (for marketing programs)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
