Job Description

Razorfish Seattle is seeking a Media Director. This person will focus on performance digital media, leading the digital strategy, and activation. The Media Director will also be part of the broader RF Media Leadership and serve as a senior media expert, providing departmental or capability leadership and increasing visibility of the media practice while also demonstrating leadership on key clients. This person manages a team of AMDs and is responsible for ensuring media strategies and deliverables meet or exceed the strategic requirements of the client, add value, and meet Razorfish’s quality standards. He/she also manages, motivates and mentors media staff in the development and execution of digital media initiatives and drives new business efforts. Duties may also include partnering with other key agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develops forward-thinking, innovative, cross-channel media strategies to improve the effectiveness of clients’ marketing programs and grow business.
• Advises clients and agency’s client service organization on media opportunities

• Serves as client team lead lead on medium media account managing $20+ million in total media spend.
• Conceives, negotiates and presents cross platform or large scale media proposals to clients.

• Responsible for upselling services.
• Key participant in business development for media pitches

• 2+ direct reports; manages a media team of 10+ employees.
• Lead and supervise client team, including hiring, training, staffing, coaching and evaluating performance.

• Attends and represents clients at industry events.
• Helps with POV writing, responsible for client-specific POVs.


Experience
•7-10 years of experience in the development and implementation of media planning and buying within the advertising industry: 4 years specifically within the digital/interactive marketing and advertising industry.
• 4 years of prior staff management, development and mentoring experience is required.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year, accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree or advanced degree in Advertising, Marketing (or similar) is preferred.
