Job Description

CJ Affiliate provides technology and services that help advertisers, agencies and publishers manage their interactive and traditional advertising activities. The Product Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of their assigned product domain, functionality, or business initiative. This includes product/business strategy, roadmap, and release management.  

CJ is looking for a Product manager of API & integrations, who will help define and drive the strategy and roadmap for our API tools to integrate CJ Affiliate’s platform and data solutions into client and third-party systems. You will collaborate closely with other members of the product management team, Engineering, Strategic Partnerships, Sales, Technical Client Support, and other internal and external stakeholders.  

  Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the delivery of a highly engaged community and platform to allow consuming developers to leverage CJ’s API to expand our business offering through partnerships.  

  • Responsible for communicating both the business value and technical rationale behind your recommendations.  

  • Creating the business and product requirements based on all stakeholder needs of internal developers, partner developers, third party-developers, internal end-users and even customers.  

  • While working with developers who create API’s ensure that they follow standards, naming conventions, design principles and consistent development methods to create the optimum developer experience for all stakeholders. 

  • Determine which target audiences can access an API and come up with strategies on how to expose it and make access easy for consuming developers. Also collaborate with the business leaders on a monetization strategy where applicable for any API.  

  • Collaborate with our Strategic Partnership team to help ensure our API toolset to support new partnership integrations are optimized for end-user experience and easy to test and use. 

  • Be the subject matter expert for CJ’s API library and integration capabilities. 

  • Develop internal training materials and programs to enable our Sales and Customer Support teams to understand our solutions. 

  • Translate business requirements into user stories for our development teams. 

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure requirements have been satisfied. 

  • Partner closely with other product leaders and cross functional internal stakeholders to drive joint planning, execution, and success. 

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Travel – up to 25% 

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years in Product manager role, delivering B2B products to enterprise or similarly complex customers.  

  • Must have experience working with developers and partners to define API capabilities and with solutions that require integration with third party and customer systems. 

  • Previous exposure to Big Data technologies and architecture development 

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or or related work experience preferred.   

  • Pragmatic Marketing or similar Product management certification preferred 

  • Agile SCRUM Product Owner or Scrum Master Certification preferred.  

  • General understanding of the MarTech industry and its intersections with the consumer journey 

  • Experience in managing remote teams and individuals 

  • General understanding of ecommerce and exposure to one or more online advertising and marketing technologies 

  • Knowledge of online tracking technologies – Browser, Device and App (Mobile and Desktop) 

  • Strong presentation and customer-facing social skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong analytical mind and interest in interpreting data 

  • SAAS experience is a plus 

 
Necessary skills: 

  • MS Suite  

  • Experience in agile development with expert understanding of creation of epics, stories and releases 

  • Exposure to ticket management systems like Atlassian Jira and collaboration tools like Atlassian Confluence
