Job Description

The role will be within the Database Services (DBS) team and will report to the Database Services Manager.  The team manages weekly the receipt and processing of client data into the Abacus format for loading on to the Abacus Alliance Database.

The Conversion Support Analyst will support this key objective by; recording receipt of and reviewing incoming data, to identify any trends or anomalies, prior to processing for load.  The role is also responsible for the maintenance of client information in our Account Information Management (AIM) system

The right candidate will join an experienced team working across all clients in the diverse Alliance Cooperative.  They will be given the opportunity to grow and take responsibility from day one in a challenging and rewarding environment.  They will increase understanding data structures and data mapping across all clients in the Cooperative and be expected to identify any underlying anomalies using our data quality and ETL tools. They will also be expected to be in close contact with clients, contacting those whose data is expected.

This position requires a high degree of organization and planning, along with skills required to generate accurate and timely MIS report logging. Work requires great attention to detail in recording the correct information and establishing load priorities and deadlines.

We require a proactive, self- driven and dynamic individual who can work within a fast paced, key operational area of the business

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Management of the data arrivals process and notification to stakeholders of data availability
  • Updating our bespoke data tracker with details of data in house
  • Monitoring, the data arrivals and contacting any clients whose updates are overdue
  • Production of the daily data load schedule.
  • Updating and Maintenance of SFTP credentials for our clients
  • Identifying and chasing of clients whose data is overdue
  • Liaising between relevant teams to ensure the timely and accurate loading of client data
  • Complete initial review of client data, including reporting on data fields and counts
  • Reviewing of client data prior to processing in our ETL environment
  • Maintenance of bespoke enterprise applications
  • Ability to learn and understand the intricacies of UK address

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience within an ETL or database marketing environment.
  • Educated to at least A level standard.
  • Basic knowledge of ETL and database file layouts and database concepts.
  • PC literate and a demonstrable knowledge of MS Office software, particularly Excel.
  • An IT degree would be an advantage.
  • Excellent Communication and organizational skills.
