Job Description

The Copywriter is responsible for creating deliverables and solutions specific to copywriting and content development. Reporting to a Senior Copywriter or Copy Director, the Copywriter provides thought leadership on search and content strategies using both qualitative and quantitative sources. The Copywriter is analytical and uses problem solving capabilities to help drive improvements towards stated KPIs.

Role Objectives:

  • Works with Activation Team to develop content strategies for various clients as needed
  • Provides consistently clean, coherent and engaging on- and off-site copy that adheres to best practices
  • Conducts advanced searches and analyzes data to identify content and keyword ideas according to determined strategies
  • Provides thought leadership on keyword research, density, META tags and page copy as well as broader content, SEO and SEM strategies
  • Understands discipline and how it fits into larger Performance Content Team
  • Leverages experience with analytical tools to support larger team as well as Associate Copywriters

Qualifications

•         Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

•         2 - 3 years’ experience with significant writing, research and/or online media components

•         Working knowledge of online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts

•         Working knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, and Coremetrics

•         Website development/design experience including development of wireframes, using CSS and HTML

•         Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills

•         Strong analytical and implementation skills

•         Ability to craft persuasive, goal-oriented written communications

•         Strong online research skills including advanced use of search engines

•         High competency level in MS Office products including Excel and Word

•         Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including senior management

•         BA in appropriate discipline
