Director - PR and Policy

  • Full-time

Company Description

Who we are

Langland, a Publicis Health company, is the only health communications agency that thinks further across Clinical Trial Experience, Medical Strategy & Education, Public Relations & Policy, and Advertising, to create unique value with visionary clients.

What we believe

Health brings us together. In the diseases we suffer, the medicines we create, and the causes we champion, health shows us our collective humanity. When we break the barriers that divide us, when we think further, we can create healthier futures, together.

A passion for craft

Having expert thinking is only part of our story. To ensure excellence in everything we make, we have centred our disciplines around three essential crafts: science, strategy and creativity.

Job Description

Have you been searching for an opportunity that would allow you to really make your mark on a business?  To have an impact on the way an organisation builds, learns, adapts and creates new ways of working that appeal to clients and talent alike?

In partnership with the PR Business Unit Director, this role is an amazing opportunity to lead us into the next wave of client service in PR and communications.  Someone who is aware of the latest trends in building effective teams and likes to consider new ways of doing things will quickly succeed in this role.  We are a dynamic, in-demand business, and now is the time to shed our traditional agency skin and build ourselves up to reflect the more sophisticated communications needs of our clients, integrating emerging data analytics, channels and content to reach audiences and make an impact like never before.

What’s your vision for the future?  With us, you’ll be given the resources, training and head space to hone that vision alongside the leadership team and bring it to life. This doesn’t mean leaving client service behind though – this is a role for someone who’s energised by account work and excited about providing clients with their unique take on a business challenge.  Our clients want and deserve confident counsel from experts who have been doing this job for a long time and can pull from their deep experience to shape strategy, provide insight and teach the next generation of leaders to do the same.  Specifically, you will lead one of biggest accounts and be supporting them in the rare disease space.

It’s an exciting new role within a close-knit team and there are also plenty of opportunities for future personal and professional development within the wider Publicis Health network. We work closely with our advertising and creative teams, and frequently tap into the scientific expertise of our medical education colleagues. Furthermore, we have started to partner with our clinical trial experience team.

This is a hands-on role, with team work and collaboration at the heart of what we do.  You’ll notice how well we all work together if you come in to see us for an interview – we want our new Director to demonstrate a director-level commitment to our business.  There are tight deadlines, fast-moving projects and clients who only demand the best from us – but if you’re the sort of person who thrives in this type of business then we’d love to hear from you.
