Job Description

Position Summary 

The Senior Associate, Resource Management supports smaller scale agency or multiple groups within a larger agency with a focus on optimizing agency billability and utilization of our workforce.

  • Determine and implement RM processes with agency and advise on resource allocation decisions. Participate in planning process
  • Consults on skill levels and needs
  • Manages reporting used for resource allocation decisions
  • Identify and communicates resource allocation issues; recommend solutions
  • Manages freelance vendors and resources; forecast recruiting costs
  • Contributes to and participates in hiring, talent management and mobility decisions
  • Participates in PH HR and RM projects or initiatives; may lead a work stream

  • Proficiently uses technology to deliver RM processes; maintain data and prepare reports

  • Strong understanding of the different capabilities needed for projects and employees’ skills/expertise. Exercise good judgment when matching employee skills with projects

  • Analytical; goes beyond the numbers – tells the story
  • Proactively identify and investigate gaps in data
  • Can anticipate issues and come up with viable solutions
  • Keeps current on external RM best practices

  • Contributes to resourcing change initiatives with agency
  • Helps agency adapt to and work through resourcing changes

  • Identify the capabilities agency needs for success and where strengths and gaps are
  • Identify skills and expertise needed
  • Know which capabilities to source through freelancers
  • Provide guidance on sourcing and selecting talent
  • Provide guidance on employee development and skill building needs
  • Coach agency on resolving somewhat complex RM issues
  • Provide guidance on career development options

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare is a strong plus

Education and Experience

  • Agency experience preferred
  • Experience in communications or marketing environment preferred

Must be able to work in US without sponsorship
