Job Description

Your Role:

Your key responsibility in this role will be to support the media division in bringing transformation to life – we are looking for someone known for incredible strategic thinking, graceful client management and expert negotiating skills.

You’ll be expected to also support the wider media team with developing media campaigns and any other duties relating to developing accurate media (client) campaigns.

Responsibilities and Attributes:

The key responsibilities within this role will be to support in the day-to-day activities for the client and media team. You’ll work alongside Media Managers, train and mentor junior-level staff.

In general, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business, their products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, and competitors and sales
  • Plan and execute online and offline media campaigns
  • Play a key role to align between on going performance requirements and respective teams in different practices, GDD, Precision, APEX, etc…
  • Build and maintain media knowledge of the market, consumer and media research available
  • To start and to foster relationships with the clients where the planner is respected for their media skills and ability to add value to the effectiveness of clients’ media investment
  • To have a strong relationship with media vendors, be able to push them in order to meet client’s deliverables and expectations in liaison with the MBU
  • To work closely with the finance department to generate periodical reconciliation and manage ad-hoc vendor issues
  •  To help the team as required, e.g. perform competitive analyses, answering direct information requests, evaluation of media options
  • To be involved in helping develop & deliver competitive / plan rationale presentations

 

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and display a desire to learn. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, we would be ideally looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • A four-year college education
  • 1-3 years of media planning and/or buying experience, as well as experience with online planning, analysis and market research, and familiarity with server technology
  • Strong understanding of the digital environment – you know this world by heart and you keep pulse with the rapid changes happening within it – and a clear, solid understanding of the media planning and buying process
  • Exceptional communication skills – you’re skilled at interpreting client objectives and clearly articulating proposed media strategies and recommendation

And someone who shows:

  • Understanding of the different functions and roles in agency
  • Efficiency, proactive and take ownership of work
  • Proficiency in the use of applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the booking software of the company
