You will work with database ETL processes and help the organization leverage that knowledge via cross team collaboration. You will have direct influence in the strategic use of marketer data as it applies to product development and digital display campaigns. Marketplace team is responsible for ingesting various client data sources and aligning those inputs into the team’s data model.

Role Description

We are looking for Business System Analyst to work as part of data team working with the larger Conversant Engineering Data Warehousing teams.

This role will help to define solutions for given product and engineering initiatives, and drive solutions to delivery by effectively engaging with team members across the globe. The person in this role will be working closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization, so he or she must be able to communicate and keep them informed on overall health on projects impacting Conversant Data Warehouse platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with BSA team in US and partner integration engineers to gather, analysis and define the data onboarding requirements to be passed on to the data solution engineers.
  • Working closely with Engineering resources across the globe to ensure enterprise data warehouse solutions and assets are actionable, accessible and evolving in lockstep with the needs of the ever-changing business model.
  • Analyze complex business problems and provide technical expertise for developing user requirements.
  • Provide solution details to stake holders regarding agreed upon solutions and their impact.
  • Must have a working knowledge of SQL.
  • Database deliverables include file manipulations and report building.
  • Follow a data loading plan and support data maintenance policy.
  • Provide expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database.
  • Determine how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.
  • Help develop an understanding of client's original data.
  • Involved in design and execution of reports and report development.
  • Provide consultation to users in the area of the internal ETL application systems.
  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree is required.
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience around database marketing technologies and data management, and technical understanding in these areas.
  • Clearly communicate and articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the organization and/or with external partners and understand the unique needs of each partnership.
  • Document information effectively through databases, knowledge warehouses, and other shared space.
  • Interpret customer needs and translate into understandable written requirements.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between developers and users, clients and companies, and management and IT on an as needed basis.
  • Good organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to understand and meet needs of end users.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing environment.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills using SQL.
  • Beginner to intermediate Linux command line skills.
  • Basic to intermediate database programming using Python and Shell commands.
  • Knowledge of logical and physical database design.
  • Understanding of relational database design.
  • Knowledge of the extract, transform, load, star schema and end user access tool.
  • Good experience in working with geographically and culturally diverse teams.
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly.
  • Familiarity with complex data lake environments that span OLTP, MPP and Hadoop platforms.
