Job Description

Rauxa is seeking a savvy, experienced marketing agency professional and new business hunter for a VP, Account Services position!  This position is currently remote, but would be based in any of our locations (NY, Irvine, San Francisco, Santa Monica or Seattle) once we return to our physical offices. 

The VP, Account Services will have a head for strategic customer marketing, a heart for driving innovative solutions to client business problems and the hustle necessary to aggressively grow client accounts and acquire new business for the agency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the senior account lead for assigned client accounts, maintaining direct, day-to-day, senior level client contact
  • Grow agency revenue by actively seeking new projects from client contacts and industry contacts
  • Proactively provide the client with thought leadership and strategic guidance, and business building ideas, determining the best solutions to fulfill the needs of the client
  • Collaborate with agency partners and department leads to deliver world-class work to our clients on time, on strategy, on budget, and with superior quality
  • Be an advocate for client needs across departments within Rauxa to provide superior client service
  • Maintain a superior level of knowledge in all aspects of one-on-one relationship marketing and digital marketing
  • Maintain a superior knowledge of data analytics and clearly articulate the value it adds to our clients
  • Effectively present, sell, and defend all agency work and proposals to clients
  • Guide the Account team to manage project profitability and drive top line revenue growth
  • Lead or participate in agency new business pitches

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent work experience preferred
  • You have 12 or more years of recent experience in an Account Service role at an advertising, digital or marketing agency
  • You have prior experience leading and managing teamsYou are a proven leader and new business hunter with demonstrated ability to sell in strategic solutions and recommendations to clients and aggressively grow agency revenue
  • You have a deep understanding of data analytics and loyalty campaign metrics including how to analyze and interpret results
  • You have a deep understanding of Marketing Automation, platforms and technologies, as well as content marketing, social and mobile marketing 
  • You have a robust knowledge of Relationship Marketing, CRM, Direct and Digital Marketing
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong meeting facilitation and stand-up presentation skills
  • You are skilled in writing a killer data-rich presentation that tells a clear, persuasive story
  • You have outstanding project and process management and follow up skills
  • You have proven success in acquiring new agency business and growing client accounts from small projects to a multi-million-dollar accounts
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and agency colleagues
  • You are a creative problem solver with exceptional analytical skills
  • You are entrepreneurial and flexible, self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, dynamic work environments
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
