Job Description

The role of the Senior Associate, Strategy & Content is to be the day-to-day steward of media communication for assigned brands, including accurate budget control and flow of digital media activity.  Working closely with the Managers, you will provide support to help deliver against the clients’ creative media needs and objectives.  You will develop a deep understanding of the stories our clients want to tell, and help facilitate both the ideation and realization of brand-inspired experiences that flow seamlessly across touch points and screens. From television and movies, to social, mobile, gaming, and events, we weave storylines together to create fresh and modern content for brands and consumers

Role Objectives:

  • Assist the Manager in development of digital media plan options and recommendations, overseeing branded content programs from brief to execution
  • Participate in the development, execution, and stewardship/project management of publishing plans (print + digital + content)
  • Participate in ideation sessions and brief partners on what is required of them to fulfill brand objectives in the content space
  • Project manage programs from proposal stage through end date, including: concept development, asset negotiation, asset production and brand approval, reporting and optimizations
  • Participate in negotiations, including but not limited to: evaluating RFP’s, spending trends, rate contracts, and program details across print, newspaper, digital, mobile, tablet, and integrated programs
  • Maintain accurate budget control and flow of media activity and update client on timely/consistent basis
  • Work closely with partner agencies and brand team to ensure content programs are in line with overarching strategies
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of online media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, and communication goals (reach/frequency)
  • Demonstrate proficiency with systems/tools (MRI, MediaTools, comScore, Kantar, etc.)
  • Gather and analyze appropriate research to provide sound, strategic, consumer-insights-driven digital media recommendations
  • Establish collaborative, productive working relationship with implementation teams to ensure media strategies are being delivered and brand goals and client needs are being met
  • Ensure proper execution of digital media plans by monitoring buys/schedules
  • Develop strong working relationship with partner agencies (where/when applicable), helping create a seamless communications process
  • Demonstrate creativity and agility when problem solving
  • Deliver POVs/position papers on key client issues and/or client opportunities
  • Prepare media authorizations per approved plans/project requests

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • 1+ years of Media Planning experience with an excellent understanding of media fundamentals
  • MediaTools knowledge is a must
  • Familiarity with Competitive systems (AdViews/Kantar)
  • Working knowledge of Syndicated research tools (eg. MRI, comScore, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency within PowerPoint and familiarity with Excel
  • Detail oriented and able to creatively assess concepts and assets to ensure it is brand safe, aligned with the brand equity, and within creative guidelines
  • Creative, passionate about the industry with a strong desire to do good work and bring forth new and innovative thinking
  • Collaborative, a true team player that will work well collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Adept at time management and handling shifting priorities
  • Demonstrates ability to tell stories through data, presentations and verbal communication
  • 15-25% travel will be required once restrictions are lifted
