Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A is a highly visible position.  Primary responsibilities include providing financial analysis supporting the Epsilon technology practice, including headcount, expense management, forecasting & budgeting. The ideal candidate is a high-performer who thrives in a fast paced and demanding environment, embraces a collaborative work style, has excellent communication and influencing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute FP&A processes for Technology organization, including operating expense and headcount forecasts, monthly close support and annual plan
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis and partner with key members of Finance and Accounting organization to research issues and present findings
  • Assist in managing the Epsilon Technology Practice P&L including updating forecasts by monitoring performance and assess risks/opportunities against financial goals
  • Partner and communicate with senior leaders in Technology organization to research issues and provide financial modeling expertise
  • Develop and maintain operating metrics and KPI’s for the Technology organization, present findings and monitor business performance
  • Tracks and explains key financial metrics across Epsilon alongside VP of FP&A, including productivity ratios and margin changes across practice areas
  • Enhance reporting content and processes to ensure that reporting meets the business needs and is produced efficiently
  • Streamline routine analysis, identify improvement opportunities to automate and create leverage
  • Recommends reporting enhancements and coordinates directly with reporting team to implement changes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven analytic ability, excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills
  • Operational, Financial or Accounting education and/or experience required
  • Financial systems experience: Advanced Excel & PowerPoint required, Enterprise Planning tools a plus (Hyperion or Prophix preferred)

Education & Experience

  • BA Required, BA in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
