Digital Asset Manager

The Digital Asset Manager is a leadership role representing our systems, processes and protocols re: asset management, while also managing a small team. This role is the connective tissue between departments, agency partners and clients, requiring a strong knowledge and confidence of data asset management and systems protocol.
Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Establish efficient file naming and storage practices- owning practice and protocols in our digital library management platform.
- Acts as a librarian, archivist, organizer and guardian of our assets (files, images, video, audio- all digital content).
- Working with our IT support team, own the digital asset management platform making it accessible and easy to use for both users and interdepartmental collaboration within the company: marketing, programming, sales and end users.
- Manager of not only digital assets- but people, process and uses that interact with those assets and technology.
- Possesses a solid understanding of production workflows — both print and digital. Follows client advertising requirements

Work experience, skills and education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 7-9 years in data administrative, asset management role in a creative agency and/or production studio environment
- Solid understanding of process for creating, maintaining, and migrating of digital assets
- Hands-on technical experience with DAM systems, library systems, content management systems (CMSs), or other large searchable databases used in the creation of web pages, media, or research
- Working knowledge of standard metadata models
- Demonstrated success working with digital asset management solutions and workflows in a complex enterprise creative environment

• Strong communication skills, with an attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver before deadlines.
• Dedicated about creating order from disorder; understands the “correct” level of process to apply to
different projects
• Takes initiative to improve the process, and provide workflow solutions
• Collaborative, able to foster a team relationship with co-workers and all agency disciplines
• Critical thinking / using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative
solutions, conclusions or approaches to opportunities.
• Flexibility, willingness to shift gears to meet project deadlines and client deliverables
