Job Description

Welcome to Langland. A health communications agency that helps people, brands and businesses think further.

We are seeking an Associate Creative Director, Art, to lead a small creative team focused on clinical trial recruitment campaigns. This role will involve both inspiring creatives to consistently produce exceptional work and contributing ideas and overseeing design execution as a part of a creative pair. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small agency group, regularly developing unique conceptual ideas and brand identities to drive engagement and education. Healthcare experience is not required, but you should have an appreciation of developing excellent creative in a regulated environment.

What you’re here to do

  • Build and foster an environment of creativity and ideas-led solutions in your direct team, and across the agency as a whole
  • Work in partnership with Copywriter to lead by example, creating innovative, channel-neutral ideas that answer the client's brief
  • Maintain Langland’s reputation for outstanding execution by ensuring that all work is produced to the highest possible standards
  • Oversee the execution of the creative work, inputting into pre-production activity, attending photo and video shoots and supervising post-production in order to realize your creative vision
  • Demonstrate to clients that you understand and appreciate their marketing challenges and are responsive to their strategic needs
  • Oversee creative teams and evaluate concepts and branding to produce the best work possible
  • Work with the Group Creative Director to address performance, workflow, and quality issues and develop long-range plans for the team
  • Ensure that internal systems and processes are adhered to at all times
  • Demonstrate to clients that you understand and appreciate their marketing challenges and are responsive to their strategic needs
  • Sign off work for projects as a contributor, taking responsibility for the visual identity, accuracy of the execution and compliance with the brand guidelines
  • Lead the creative efforts on new business assignments, as needed
  • Ensure that creative presentations to the client meet the highest professional standards and are delivered on time

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of agency experience with primarily an conceptual Art background
  • A proven track record of conceptual creative ability and judgment, with a multi-disciplinary and well-crafted portfolio
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Successful client contact experience and ability to grow business organically
  • The ability to work collaboratively with account management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Successful experience in managing creatives
  • Ability to self-manage projects and to work within deadlines
