Duties:  Develop, create, and modify general computer applications. Perform benchmarking and system level testing for improving and debugging of distributed Java/J2EE applications. Develop Performance Test Plans and Performance Test Scenarios using requirements and design documents while specifying testing overview, Approach, Strategy, Scope, Architecture, and Environment. Analyze and identify a short fall in CPU, disk IO bandwidth, memory, or network IO bandwidth on Linux and UNIX systems. Analyze database queries, stored procedures for efficiency and performance impact on the application. Identify bottlenecks and benchmark the product behavior on different platforms and on different Architectures. Perform baseline testing on different Architectures. Responsible for application deployment in platform servers. Responsible for interacting with Developers, Leads and infrastructure team.

 

Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include one year of experience with each of the following: 

1)      Experience in JMeter and App Dynamics;

2)      Experience in web-based performance testing;

3)      Experience in developing Performance Test Plans and Performance Test Scenarios;

4)      jboss;

5)      shell scripting;

6)      Linux;

7)      Oracle Appliance (ODBA); and

8)      Solaris.


Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
