Job Description

Overview:

The Content Director is responsible for successfully leading his or her team. In addition to creating deliverables and providing ongoing recommendations for client accounts, the Director outlines team member successes.  The Director uses his or her expertise in data and analytics to work directly with clients and/or the Activation Team to identify opportunities and create strategies that will improve KPIs.

Role Objectives:

Technical

•         Successfully manages team within discipline

•         Works with team to outline successes of team members and clients

•         Creates deliverables and solutions for specific needs in discipline

•         Assumes accountability and ownership of team and recommendations the team makes

•         Works with clients directly/with Content Strategist on specific tasks

•         Creates opportunities and strategies using both qualitative and quantitative sources

•         Proven experience and success in using data to identify issues and create clear actions to improve performance and KPIs

•         Expertise of analytic tools to understand data and present areas for improvement

•         Work with account managers to understand specific client needs and helps team achieve deliverable goals

•         Embraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

•         Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

•         5 - 7 years’ experience with significant writing, research and/or online media components

•         Experience with managing a team

•         Proficient with online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts

•         Proficient with web analytics platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, and Coremetrics

•         Website development/design experience including development of wireframes, using CSS and HTML

•         Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills

•         Strong analytical and implementation skills

•         Ability to craft persuasive, goal-oriented written communications

•         Strong online research skills including advanced use of search engines

•         High competency level in MS Office products including Excel and Word

•         Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including senior management

•         BA in appropriate discipline
