Job Description

The Digital Planning Manager will be part of the Performance Planning team that is responsible for the cross channel optimisation of ASDA’s significant acquisition activity. This covers both George and ASDA focusing on grocery home shopping and encompasses a multi-million pound annual spend, across PPC, SEO, Programmatic and Affiliates. 

This is a role with a high profile within the agency, working on its biggest account, in an area of highest growth for the client. This means that there is significant opportunity to progress with direct exposure working with the agency leadership team, who themselves are heavily involved.

The Digital Planning Manager will be responsible for executing real-time optimisation decisions between channels, and with extracting best possible performance from within each channel, applying their expertise and communicating with ASDA clients on a regular basis. They will also be required to forecast and make adjustments to performance on a longer term basis, and make a contribution to the overall development of the account across data and technology.

The candidate must have a desire and motivation to excel in a fast paced retail and DR environment. Essential Duties

  • Optimise performance media campaigns on a macro and channel basis for ASDA
  • Troubleshoot technical and practical issues within the channels and devise solutions to ensure maximum ROI
  • Work with agency and technology partners to ensure campaign delivery, reporting and actionable insight continuously improves 
  • Produce concise and actionable reports to equip the team and clients with relevant information
  • Attend regular client calls and monthly meetings with key ASDA Performance team clients to relay results, insights and delivery against the account development roadmaps
  • Support in the development and delivery of a long-term data and effectiveness strategy across Performance campaigns

 

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in managing large quantities of data and extracting insight from it
  • Strong analytical thinking, mathematical skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to organize and manage detailed work in a large team
