Job Description

Our engagement with Daimler is to transform their marketing business to a modern, data driven, digitally relevant and “always on” company as well as to strengthen their position as a luxury brand. Specifically, one of our workstreams is tasked with the shaping and driving of transformation through 6 initiatives. These initiatives involve the most senior people in Emil and Daimler and are strategic and transforming in nature.

Successful transformation is about leading people in organisations through a journey as their work environment, teams and processes change. We are therefore looking for a Senior Project Manager that is as passionate about managing people and the content of the transformation as they are strong on process and financials. The environment is fast paced, so we are looking for someone who is a great communicator, able to marshal senior people, deal with strategic topics that can be sometimes loosely defined and help drive the team to deliver success.

Responsibilities

 As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for driving the leadership team forward, overseeing the project management process & approach across the transformation, aligning multiple senior internal and external stakeholders from project inception to successful delivery and ensuring that everyone comes on the journey with you.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate strategic framework and governance structure
  • Developing the correct process framework across the workstreams
  • Creating and maintaining a risk and issue log with appropriate value and mitigation approaches related to programme deliverables, to enable effective problem solving and execution
  • Significant demonstrable track record in strategic project / programme delivery and the definition of programme governance, frameworks and structure
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong communication & reporting skills
  • Strong financial and process skills

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in leading agencies or consultancies with a solid team history
  • Experience of project managing digital strategic projects that define processes, structures, ways of working
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders, both internally and with clients
  • Experience of working with and reporting to PMO organisations and large programme reporting needs
  • Ability to work independently from home office whilst Covid restrictions apply and impact working time. However, this role is based in Berlin (or London) with extensive weekday travel to Berlin and Stuttgart when travelling permits
  • Experience managing distributed teams
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape
  • Strong empathy and understanding for people undertaking organisational change
  • A balance on managing people as much as driving through process
  • German speaker preferred
