Now in our third year, we seek to further strengthen our teams, skillsets, abilities and offering as we continue to pioneer the agency model of the future.

Job Description

The Senior Data Strategist is the key interface for all Data and Analytics topics in the Regional Data team, and the main tasks in the role include the following:

  • Working closely with Daimler’s Region team (based in Stuttgart) to shape the direction of the Region’s Data Strategy, as well as defining and implementing operational Data & Analytics processes and methods.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of available data sources to derive insights that will support the Region digital transformation. This includes data sourced from web analytics, leads to sales, CRM development, personalisation of content and media performance.
  • Coordinating with Publicis Emil teams in the Regional and Local date teams to surface and spread best practice in Data & Analytics and to roll out regional data initiatives.
  • Working closely with other Regional Publicis Emil Data colleagues to look for synergies, learnings and efficiencies that mutually benefit each region.
  • Coordination with Global Publicis Emil teams to ensure Data priorities and needs for future data & analysis products are communicated effectively to Daimler Global Data teams
  • Supervision, coaching and direction of small team of Data Analysts.

This role reports to and is supported by the Regional Data Lead. Close collaboration with other members of the Region Data teams, including the Digital & Data Senior Account Director and Project Manager, will be essential.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be, at heart, a skilled data analyst who’s happy to deep dive into the data to extract valuable patterns, trends and insights. They will be capable storyteller who can bring data insights to life and capture the imagination of their stakeholders – the kind of confident communicator who’s happy to articulate their findings to a client audience and has the ability to deal with (and adapt to) objections and feedback. They ultimately, must be adept in finding actionable insights from complex data sources that could provide value rather than creating reports, for reports sake.

The fast-paced and continually evolving nature of Publicis Emil business also means they’ll be comfortable with ambiguity and able to embrace new and changing priorities and directions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience of working with web analytics tools (ideally Google Analytics 360, include BigQuery) to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer journey and onsite user behaviour
  • Experience of using JIRA & Confluence (or similar tools) for project management and collaboration
  • Hands-on experience of Daimler’s preferred martech stack (e.g., CRM platforms from Salesforce and bespoke solutions, DMP platforms from Salesforce, web analytics solutions from Adobe and Google)
  • Experience of using Microsoft Power BI to visualise data insights
  • Awareness and knowledge of the evolving martech landscape for CRM, Personalisation and Media
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience, to simplify complexity and to explain insights in a broader strategic context
  • A confident communicator, fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to collaborate remotely using tools like Microsoft Teams
  • Able to travel to Publicis Emil’s London and Berlin offices as well as to the Daimler client offices - mostly near Stuttgart, Germany. (Subject to prevailing Government travel advice in light of COVID-19).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
