Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to manage one of our key clients, joining a fun, supportive and fast-paced team.

The right person will be a hybrid creative and strategic thinker, with content production management skills. You will be comfortable working autonomously, with the ability to plan and produce content, and develop and implement campaign strategies that deliver measurable ROI. You will have a background in content production as well as ideation and copywriting, with the ability to not only write briefs, manage creative teams and creative output, but also produce your own content ideas and copy.

Confidence in managing the client relationship is a must, as you will be the key social contact person and will liaise daily with clients to work collaboratively on concepts and manage the approvals process across all outputs.

Your day to day will typically include writing content plans for both Always On content and campaigns, brainstorming creative concepts and working with our Social Analyst to produce performance reports, using both native platform data and other platforms (e.g. Sysomos).

You will be proactive and resourceful, always searching for opportunities to leverage and identifying topical and cultural trends that can be applied to creative concepts. You will actively manage social platforms and key platform relationships, whilst fostering communities of brand advocates.

You will be well versed in driving audiences down the conversion funnel, with a deep understanding of what captures and connects with them along the journey.

You will have in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the social landscape and understanding of all platforms and content formats, with the ability to make best practice recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing campaign and implementation plans that encompass all key social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat
  • Liaising with the client on a daily basis, responding to requests and keeping them updated on progress and performance through WIPs, weekly snapshot reporting and campaign reporting
  • Producing, presenting and implementing creative social concepts both for campaign and Always On activity – including both ideating and writing copy, as well as briefing creative teams and managing timelines for more complex creative outputs required
  • Working with the wider team to produce strategic recommendations that achieve set business and marketing objectives
  • Proactively recommend creative ideas and identify opportunities to leverage based on what’s happening in culture and audience/customer insights
  • Recommend media investment and targeting strategies that optimise towards best performing content and drive greater ROI
  • Proactively spot relevant trends in culture and in the social and content space that can be directly applied to brand content and activations
  • Write and manage content calendars across all social pages, including writing all copy in the required tone of voice, sourcing all imagery/content whilst being mindful of legal compliance
  • Work collaboratively with a media agency, despatching content and making targeting and spend recommendations

Qualifications

Desired skills and experience:

  • Min. 3 years’ experience in managing social platforms for household name brand/s or companies – banking category experience ideal
  • Experience managing clients directly, working with them collaboratively to produce plans and content for social platforms
  • Content strategy, planning and managing production (on a campaign, ad-hoc or monthly level)
  • A robust understanding of paid social media targeting (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn in particular) coupled with the ability to make media spend and audience recommendations
  • Use of social tools for social listening, analytics, scheduling and reporting (Radian 6, Sysomos, Social Bakers, Sprinklr or similar)
  • Social copy writing, with strong experience in adopting a unique brand tone of voice
  • Social content conception, including mocking up examples and presenting to clients
  • Social content creation – photography, videography, Photoshop skills all strongly desirable, in addition to creation of different social formats i.e. Gifs, short videos, Instagram stories etc
