Job Description

The Senior Producer is expected to manage various content creation projects, people, and the production processes on a day-to-day basis. He or she will own any given project from concept through delivery, identifying and solving for potential pitfalls and ensuring projects are delivered and deployed on time. This position will partner with outside vendors and agency Creative, Planning, and Account teams and will report to the SVP, Director of Integrated Production. Primary role is to support creative development, content production, quality control of assets, and delivery across social media platforms. Project budgets will vary from lean and aggressive to well funded.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

·       Creates and manages schedules on a per project basis, including internal Reviews, and other meetings as needed.

·       Delivers clear, consistent communication to project teams and maintains consistent contact with creative, account and planning teams to facilitate information exchange.

·       Accommodates the creative teams to allow for maximum creative output

·       Evaluate creative ideas with production considerations in mind.

·       Create ballpark estimates and back schedules as needed.

·       Anticipate, discuss and resolve any potential production problems both interally and with clients.

·       Confer with Broadcast Business Manager and assigned producer on specifications for bidding, the evaluation of the bids and the estimation of production costs

·       Support and lead production budget review and any pre-production meetings with creative, account and client personnel

·       Arrange for appropriate reviews of work-in-progress with Creative Director and Production Director

·       Work with account team to route all creative through Proof, Legal & Product, as well as additional reviews as needed per project.

·       Coordinates all business issues including contracts, licensing and vendor costs. Ensure that all art, audio, and video are cleared through art buying and business affairs before being used in a project.

·       Leads team in advancing of projects, identifying issues that require attention and take appropriate action to resolve those issues. Identifying and mitigating project/program risks.

·       Responsible for the quality assurance and on time delivery of all projects, both for the content that is being presented as well as the technical nature of the delivery.

·       Continually expand knowledge of production innovations, director awareness, editorial and graphic techniques, and any other advances in the advertising and production community

·       Develops and maintains budgets for content production work, bid projects under client purchasing guidelines and work with the Business Affairs team to ensure vendors are being paid in a timely manner

·       Maintains project documentation such as estimates, project plans, proposals, status reports and contracts

·       Strong working knowledge of outside vendors in all production diceplines, at all budget levels.

·       Review and select production suppliers.

·       Works cross-functionally (internally and externally) to ensure all needed assets, resources, costs and deadlines are identified and managed to successfully meet organizational expectations and project goals.

Qualifications

·       Background in production in an agency environment strongly preferred

·       Strong creative instincts

·       Solid working knowledge of Adobe creative software.

·       Basic understanding of FTC/legal/safety guidelines and how they apply to advertising creative

·       Excellent communication skills and an agile mindset to embrace and successfully handle fluid landscapes

·       Supremely organized task manager with a strong attention to detail

·       Appreciative of and able to help elevate creative product

·       High level of professional maturity

·       Ability to develop creative solutions to problems in relation to tactical and strategic project issues

·       Must be able to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment

·       Demonstrates a strong understanding of the financial operations of running a project

·       Independently proactive but able to ask questions when necessary

·       Automotive experience is preferred but not required.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE                              

·       6 + years of agency experience ideal
