Job Description

The Senior User Experience Designer works closely with clients and agency team members to balance the needs of users, the business, as well as the technical feasibility of user experience solutions! The candidate will develop and document a user experience strategy, and advocate for the user throughout the project cycle.

The Senior User Experience Designer will be responsible for UX design deliverables and activities ranging from stakeholder interviews, user research, and UX design documentation (sitemaps, wireframes, functional specifications, etc.).

The ideal candidate will be inventive and flexible, with outstanding teamwork skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced, high efficiency environment under tight deadlines.

  • When you present work, you are clear and concise, with the ability to articulate why you’ve made the decisions you’ve made, as well as backing up your decisions with 1st or 3rd party research findings

  • You are passionate about deeply understanding problems and are committed to finding the simplest solutions to sophisticated challenges
  • Tight deadlines don’t scare you, and you are an expert at handling your time across multiple projects/products
  • You can easily adjust to working in agile or waterfall, whatever the project/product requires

Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Creation of wireframes, sitemaps, and user flows
  • Production of functional documentation, research discussion guides, and screeners questionnaires
  • Creation and maintenance of design systems
  • Mentor and lead all aspects of junior team members
  • NOTE: THIS IS NOT A VISUAL DESIGN POSITION, but demonstrable design sense is a plus. (Sorry, art directors.)

Occasional responsibilities:

  • Create interactive prototypes from wireframes or visual designs
  • Plan and lead stakeholder interviews, usability studies, expert evaluations, and brainstorming sessions
  • Create user journeys, personas, scenarios, etc.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Portfolio of high quality, polished UX deliverables (site maps, wireframes, etc.)
  • Ability to use UX software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Justinmind, or OmniGraffle to create site maps, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes
  • Proficiency in Office applications
  • 3-5 years as a practicing UX professional

Desired:

  • Strong understanding of responsive web design, interactive front-end technologies, and browser/platform constraints
  • Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Some agency experience desired
