Job Description

The Director of Analytics Operations will be responsible for guiding processes for effective analytics resource management, client and partner requirements gathering, and project execution with all partners as well as planning, tracking, coordinating and communicating on all aspects of the project involving cross-functional teams. In addition, this role will also work closely with agency production and account teams to ensure project deliverables and timelines are being prioritized, managed, and staffed appropriately.

Additionally, the Director of Analytics Operations will prioritize analytics talent and business processes to drive long term growth and business objectives for the department. The role will lead all aspects of the workload of team; assess staffing needs, hire, and ensure department is on track on performing and meeting its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Utilize technical, management and leadership experience to successfully deliver client projects, proactively identifying and managing risks, resolving issues to drive projects to successful completion while meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Deliver monthly operations performance reporting to analytics leadership – including scoping, billability, forecasting to drive successful resource allocation across the department.
  • Collaborate with client team members and all members of the Data & Analytics team to assure technical and business success for the client
  • Coordination and scheduling of all resources, both internally and externally
  • Provide specific attention to opportunities to extend the Data & Analytics’ client proposition to a client through the provision of additional service capabilities, additional personnel, or technology offerings
  • Understanding of technology principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms and consumer facing technology
  • Strong and proven entrepreneurial focus
  • Prioritize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
  • Partner with Resource Management and Finance to ensure the department has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g. people, material, equipment etc.)

Business Development:

  • Work with analytics leadership team in designing and implementing business plans and strategies
  • Represent the department and its’ capabilities with Agency and in events, conferences etc.
  • Partner with Finance to set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast and performance reporting.
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Partner with analytics leadership to develop key performance metrics and the associated reporting and tracking mechanisms required to measure agency activity and performance
  • Ensure department services adhere to legal rules and guidelines

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office including Excel and Microsoft Project
  • Advanced knowledge of digital
  • Knowledge of healthcare is a strong plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or strong analytics background
  • Very comfortable with analytics and technical details
  • 5+ Years of solid Project Management experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership/decision making, creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery
  • Attention to detail, quality assurance in a data-centric environment, strong prioritization skills
  • Effective in motivating teams and guiding them through impediments and/or conflict
  • Great problem solver - who can think through problems and quickly develop solution
  • Results focused and knows how to get the job done regardless of circumstance
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are vital to effectively convey goals and initiatives to team members and top management
