Job Description

  • Responsible for setup, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of complex Windows environments (e.g., clustering, high availability, load balancing, etc.).
  • Responsible for administration and troubleshooting of all member servers (IIS, File-Print, Antivirus, Security & backup servers, hardware technologies SAN, NAS, Storage and related client-side software)
  • Document and update Manual Operating Procedures (MOPs).
  • Automation of day to day jobs using scripting languages like PowerShell, VB, Batch and Windows WMI.
  • Responsible for keeping management up to date on any outstanding production related issues.
  • Hands-on experience with the complete patch management lifecycle including testing, deploying, troubleshooting missing patches and patch issues, etc. utilizing the change management process and patch management and automation tools necessary to ensure compliance and successful audits. 
  • Own the Windows patching program and report appropriate metrics to the leadership team
  • Own & be responsible for the vulnerability mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in a multiplatform OS environment (Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016…)
  • Have excellent knowledge Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Batch Files, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Service, Domains & Trusts, Sites & Services, Active Directory DNS, and BIND DNS.
  • Desired to have VMware ESXi and Hyper-V experience.
  • Desired to have hands on experience in troubleshooting server class hardware mainly with HP C7000 & C3000 Chassis, HP Blade systems etc.
  • Working in a complex, enterprise environment with multiple, global data centers in collaboration with network, application, and including demonstrated collaboration with middleware teams
  • Willingness to work in 24/7 environment with rotational shifts.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with an Associates or bachelor’s degree
