Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Digital Producer to join our Sydney team. Your main purpose is to ensure all digital and social marketing campaigns and projects are managed and delivered successfully and to the highest standards, whether producing the project themselves or assisting other members of the production team on their projects. 

 

To achieve this, all projects must be managed according to best-practice delivery management from briefing through scoping and development to quality control and post deployment, in a time and cost-effective manner, with a key focus on exceeding agency and client expectations whilst maximising agency revenue.

 

Digital Producers must also work alongside our Strategy Leads, ECD and Creative Leads, Designers and Vendors to deliver the highest standard of creative output by ensuring effective production processes, promoting positive team morale and fostering continual improvement through the introduction of new processes, suppliers and technologies to our Agency.

 

Producers must work closely with our Account Leads on the day-to-day management of client inputs and expectations throughout the project delivery cycle. They may, from time to time, be called upon to contribute to the Agency’s Clients’ digital education e.g. client inductions on the Agency delivery processes and other relevant industry topics.

Qualifications

You will have direct responsibility for the delivery of multiple branded digital communications across channels (web, mobile, social etc.) and clients. This includes:

 

  • Writing detailed project scopes – including developing Project Overview Documents for digital BAU projects (e.g. digital display banners, eDMs, simple landing pages) and functional specifications for websites and web/mobile applications, project plans and effort estimates, project risks, interdependencies and assumptions for the successful completion of your projects.
  • Managing programs of work – including social media content calendars and schedules. The Digital Producer is responsible for managing the creative development and end-to-end production process of multiple social media assets include illustrations, animations and video content.
  • Managing the production process throughout the project lifecycle incl. resource management on your projects – from discovery/brief inception and scoping through to creative concepts, design, technical build/integration and testing.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising tasks in order to meet business critical deadlines.
  • Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Maintaining the ability to focus on the overall project as well as the detail minutiae throughout. ​
  • Conduct a Quality Assessment of all outputs and deliverables

 

Creative Contribution

  • Ensure all digital productions are highly successful from a creative, financial and delivery perspective.
  • Actively engage and nurture best-in-class creative partners and specialist vendors to ensure high quality digital productions from both a UX design and technical implementation standpoint.
  • Act as the brand guardian for your assigned clients, ensuring that all work produced adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Deliver productions across multiple touch points in the digital and social space including standard and rich banners, eDM’s, microsites, web and mobile applications, games, content generation (multi-media, editorial etc.), social assets including illustrations, animations and video content and any other number of outputs.
  • Pro-actively stay abreast of developments in the digital industry.
  • Offer advice, based on experience, to other less senior members of the team.

 

Cross-Function Relationship Building

  • Build strong relationships with other members of the Production team, Creative and Account leads, assisting them to deliver the best possible creative product within an acceptable budget and timeframe.
  • Participate and contribute in meetings including planning sessions, WIP’s, creative reviews or brainstorms as and when requested.
  • Contribute to the team by being motivated and by motivating others.
  • Proactively share ideas and processes with other producers across print, broadcast and digital to help increase cross-functional efficiencies and improve the overall agency production output.

 

The Agency Delivery Process

  • Champion best-practice 360 digital delivery management processes on all your projects, from briefing to scoping and development to QA and post deployment optimization. This is with a view to ensuring all digital projects are delivered time and cost effectively, and to the highest standards.
  • Direct responsibility for the time-effective and on-budget management of internal and external resource on your projects.
  • Pro-actively contribute to and help maintain the agency database of best-in-class digital specialist vendors (creative and technical vendors).
  • Assist our Account Leads with dealing with clients on digital production issues that may arise, pro-actively consult with our Senior Digital Producer where required on the best way forward and communicating the agency point of view.

 

Commercial Capability

  • You are responsible for delivering projects on budget and managing the financial implications of client change requests or new requirements throughout the delivery process accordingly.
  • Adhere to the agency’s financial management processes on your projects - incl. monitoring project profitability through running regular job cost reports and reconciling jobs.
  • Report in real time to Account Lead and Senior Digital Producer any issues that could result in estimate overages and lead to writes–off’s (internal and external) or a loss of revenue for the agency.
  • Produce commercial and financial reports on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis.
  • Ensure all timesheets are up to date for all production internal head hours, including your own, on a daily basis (weekly basis minimum).

 

The person we’re looking for is:

Well organised and with a great attention to detail, you will be a self-starter with a passion for all things Digital and Social and a strong interest in developing a career in digital production management.

You will be happy to work on your own as well as part of a team and be willing to get involved at all levels. You will have excellent communication and literacy skills as well as a flair for numbers.

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a digital production management role (a minimum of 1 year commercial experience is required, ​ideally in an agency and across the wider spectrum of digital BAU campaign communications - from rich and standard banners to eDMs through to campaign landing pages and microsites.)
  • Experience of managing relationships with clients and third-party vendors (HTML5 development, technical, 3D animators, social content creators, etc.)
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and prioritising tasks in order to meet business critical deadlines.
  • Technical competence with an understanding of HTML/HTML5, Javascript, CSS, main ad serving technologies (DoubleClick, Sizmek, etc.) for standard and rich media display.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications MS Project (or iTask), Excel, etc.
