The role is working within Performics for Starcom, and focuses on delivering market leading campaign activation, execution and performance analysis within the Biddable team on a Paid Search and Social account for one of the largest auto manufacturing groups in Europe. This will be the main Client with opportunity to work across other Clients and other biddable channels upon good delivery against key Client.

Job Description

You will be working in a team led by the Business Director and working closely with 2 Managers. The team comprises of 6 team members in total from multiple backgrounds, making for a vibrant team culture. Hence great talent management and organizational skills are key.

The client’s activity is largely made up of UK-based activity with the addition of some centralized global activity. The core KPI the agency is measured against is driving leads and is extremely performance focused, with the activity running across multiple search engines and social platforms. The data, automation and efficiency are at heart of running the account as well as the team. Hence excellent numeracy and solid technical background is therefore essential to deliver against agreed targets.

You will be expected to lead client and the team together with support of your line manager, your peer and direct reports at manager level. You will be tasked with delivering strategic direction, best in class activation and ensuring continues growth of this already well established and award winning account. You will be senior point of contact and internally own the team and account from profitability perspective, staffing and responsibility for the development and performance of your team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be the senior point of contact for all performance planning, as well as paid search and paid social activation queries from the client (& planning team).
  • Lead and ensure robust roadmap gets adhered to, working closely with Business  Director and dedicated team to roll out new test ideas
  • Lead annual planning by providing insights, learnings and recommendations across all performance channels; as well as lead innovative strategies for the upcoming year
  • Create strategy and detailed plans, including budget proposals from briefs provided by clients. Exemplary track record in managing and forecasting budgets
  • Oversee all performance reporting and client communications, ensuring all teams receive regular client updates to influence their optimisations
  • Build strong relationships with clients, including senior stakeholders
  • Manage and lead the team, be responsible for the output of the team, ensuring all deliverables meet the standard expected
  • Be responsible for team appraisals
  • Liaise with 3rd party tools providers to get the best value and training for the team
  • Contribute to Senior Management team initiatives with ideas and new processes when required
  • Working on new business pitches when required
  • Be responsible for recruitment for your team
  • Provide monthly spend forecast to the business
  • Ensure there are scope of work documents and service level agreements in place and they are adhered to

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or advertising
  • 5+ years of experience in account management with a specialization in online advertising
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on biddable activation i.e. paid search and social
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in managing direct reports
  • Proven Experience in planning, managing and activating multichannel campaigns across 25+ international markets, in particular EMEA and APAC
  • Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn and TikTok’s’s advertising platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and DV360 platforms, as well as Microsoft Bing
  • Experience working with Google’s Search Ads 360 or other paid search media tools, e.g. Marin
  • Proven experience with paid social media tools, e.g. 4C, MakeMeReach, Sprinklr
  • In-depth knowledge of auto vertical
  • Experience in managing clients who are based in overseas markets, in particular Italy
  • Experience in retailer focused activations
  • Knowledge of competitor monitoring tools (e.g. Search Monitor, etc.)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Jira project management tool
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mediaocean’s Prisma and Media Explorer systems, as well as IPS Workflow
  • Experienced in working on large direct response clients
  • Line management experience and delivery of appraisals
  • Understanding and experience with automated reporting dashboards
  • Advanced knowledge of ad servers, e.g. Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek
  • Advanced knowledge of Google and/or Adobe Analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of conversion pixel implementation, testing and reporting
  • Knowledge of all digital elements and a good understanding of how other digital channels fit with Search and Social, in particular direct display and programmatic buying
  • High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
