Job Description

This is a freelance position with Publicis Communications (a Publicis Groupe Solution Hub) from November 2020 to April 2021. There is potential for this role to convert to full-time. 

Job Summary:

The focus of this temporary position is to manage executive compensation programs including design, nomination, approvals, execution in HRIS system, and partnering with finance teams to ensure commitments are accounted for properly.  Drive the executive compensation strategy, programs, and analysis that attract, motivate, and retain top executive talent for the Publicis Communications US agencies by sharing leading total reward concepts and best practices.  Provide guidance that ensures executives are compensated appropriately while the agencies’ financial commitments are met.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage executive compensation programs such as bonus plans, long term incentives, perks and allowances, etc.
  • Manage time-sensitive salary review process for executives including HQ approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies by maintaining and monitoring control processes/procedures.
  • Facilitate HRIS data integrity for executive compensation elements.
  • Ensure timely delivery with near-perfect data accuracy in a fast-paced and fluid environment with constantly shifting priorities.
  • Steward compensation module within SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Monitor the competitive marketplace to ensure awareness of competitive U.S. pay levels, best practices, trends, and new developments.  Analyze such data and make recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation structures, programs, policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate competitive practices, assess the company’s position to market, and make recommendations that are aligned with industry practices and business objectives.
  • Advise management/leadership on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
  • Participate in and manage global job grading project for US entities, including calibration across organizations.
  • Keep abreast of federal, state, and local laws and regulations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an executive compensation role
  • Impeccable record of consistent data accuracy and integrity
  • Deep experience in U.S. compensation planning and design, administration, compliance and communication
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, drive for results and timely decision-making
  • Ability to establish, prioritize and manage processes while ensuring all deadlines are met in an environment of short notice and quick turnaround requirements
  • Self-starter with proactive, consultative approach to partnering with leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, influence management and senior executives, and transfer knowledge to build capabilities in team members, HR partners and others
  • Knowledge of compensation-related laws and regulations
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Managerial experience
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems, and compensation software; SAP SuccessFactors experience strongly desired
  • Excellent Excel skills are required; database experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
