Duties:  Develop, create, and modify general computer applications; analyze, design, develop, test and maintain new applications/enhancements to existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements using a variety of technologies and tools primarily based on the Microsoft platform; define and implement strategies for integration of 3rd party systems into the software applications/products; analyze user requests and assist in the design and implementation process for new products/projects, informing senior executive of alternatives; implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high-level to meet the service levels associated with mission-critical web-based solutions; work with cross-functional teams to address and resolve complex incidents and problems in addition to assessment, analysis, resolution and root cause analysis of cross-functional issues; maintain a current awareness of new technology development techniques and trends as it relates to Web architecture, databases, development and tools; and develop technical documentation to define the system components, development environment and implementation planning/strategies.

 

Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in a related occupation. *In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation. Experience must include one year of experience with each of the following:

1)      Microsoft technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Microsoft .NET Framework;

2)      JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, CSS;

3)      HTML, XML, SOAP, REST API, Web Services;

4)      experience with web architectural and design patterns;

5)      experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE;

6)      experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS);

7)      experience with Object Oriented analysis and design practices (Object modeling, use cases, activity diagrams, and UML);

8)      experience with NoSQL solutions including Redis;

9)      experience with Service Bus architecture;

10)  experience with database technologies (SQL Server) including database development (T-SQL);

11)  experience with forms of SSO and security best practices including SAML, OAuth; and

12)  experience participating in each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle and development methodologies.

 

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
