Position summary

The Proofreader works with Agency project teams and Product Specialists to ensure excellence in client-related projects.  The chosen candidate must be fluent in Spanish in order to proofread original and translated advertising and web copy. Some translation may be necessary.  He/she must have a basic knowledge of Translation programs (Wordfast) in order to facilitate creation/revision of translations and General Market assets. He/she must coordinate management projects with the Online Producer and Project Management in order to ensure that deliverability of assets is done in a timely fashion. Working remotely temporarily due to Covid, will need to report to location Monday- Friday in the future. 

Responsibilities

• Proofread translated web copy (translated from English to Spanish) for Toyota.com/Espanol web site, mobile site and other digital-related initiatives.
• Proofread original advertising copy, ensuring there are no spelling, grammatical or typographical errors.
• Work closely with translator to determine terminology and style.
• Assure consistency and correct use of WordFast Translation software and any additional associated glossary.
• Translate/write copy for media sponsorships, ebrochures and other advertising copy as needed. 
• Assist in proofreading/translation of specific web-based projects.  Responsible for maintaining project timelines and launch dates.
•  To lead with Spanish but still be strong in English. This person will also work on all accounts, and will not be limited to just the wireless category.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years in advertising experience or relevant communications role(s).  
• Proficiency in Word Fast translation software and Adobe InDesign publishing software strongly preferred.
• Bilingual- English/ Spanish Required
