Job Description

Overview:
This position requires a highly motivated, entrepreneurial person to work both independently and within a team to help generate strategic media initiatives and manage the flow of information as a conduit between clients and external and internal agency partners. 

The Account Director will work closely with Strategic Planning, Agency Activation Teams, the Creative Agency, and Clients to help shape the plans by leveraging media platforms and the latest in emerging technology. Collaboration and communication across the media team will be of the utmost importance, as this role will help deliver media solutions that are both innovative and strategically sound.  

Responsibilities:
•    Work across the entire marketing plan, have a seat at the table with all other media disciplines, and advocate with the media client to ensure the plan is executed and maintained
•    Be a dedicated resource that interfaces with the media client and internal and external agency counterparts across multiple offices/locations, and media partners
•    Work closely with peers across the entire organization, specifically, to advance plan, integrate, and align with Strategic Planning, Creative, and Activation Teams and partner those inputs with thoughtful media insights and programs
•    Command a comprehensive understanding of marketing communications across all media types as well as digital analytics which can be effectively translated into developing media goals, objectives, strategies, recommendations, and analyses
•    Evaluating composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience
•    Follow detailed instructions and use established procedures, completing work in a detailed and thoughtful manner
•    Refers questions and problems to higher levels
•    Resource for others in resolution of complex problems/issues

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree; 
•    8+ years media planning experience across all media including 2 years in a management capacity
•    Strong background in interactive work: DSPs, DMPs, Mobile innovations, OLV cross screen, data and analytics

Business Competencies:
•    Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, ComScore
•    Solid written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation
•    Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently. 
•    Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions
•    Understand the strengths and weaknesses of each media type. 
•    Able to make independent decisions and identify priorities
•    Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations.
•    Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants 
•    Orient, train, assign and review the work of subordinates
•    Be able to identify and promote solutions  
•    Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues
