Job Description

Conversant Media's Strategic Partnerships Group (a division of Epsilon) is looking for someone who is excited about technology and enjoys being an integral part of a growing team. The online behavioral targeting business is burgeoning at Epsilon, and we’re looking for someone that wants to get in early on a big opportunity. We rely on our Technical Coordinators to run and manage all of our online products. The Online Solutions group wants people who strive to deliver the best results for our internal and external clients. The primary responsibility is to run applications in support of clients and partner. We need people committed to providing high quality service and results.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing Batch/SQL  jobs
  • Familiarity with Unix and Unix command line tools
  • Troubleshooting jobs written in SQL or Java.
  • Writing clean code
  • Run standard production jobs
  • Schedule jobs
  • Monitor jobs that were started during the US work day
  • QC job output
  • Communicate status of jobs in a timely manner
  • Able to use Jira for ticketing system
  • Updating Confluence with the project details
  • Able to use a UI(User Interface) to set up jobs and execute

Advanced Responsibilities (Optional)

  • Automate manual jobs using Unix scripts and other tools
  • Use Airflow and Python to automate manual jobs or modify existing jobs
  • Use SQL to troubleshoot
  • QA/Acceptance test new processes and application
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem, including working with Spark and Scala
  • Use Ansible to deploy code

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in skills - Java, SQL, Unix, Hadoop
  • Able to multi task, detail oriented, independent worker
  • Degree or work experience preferred
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and SQL is must
