Job Description

Why we are looking for you

This individual has expert technical and analytical skills in enterprise systems architecture and software, will be responsible for working with senior business and technical staff across all units in the company to formulate, maintain and communicate a cohesive systems architecture strategy. The candidate should have previous cloud and On-Prem automation experience, a demonstrated track record of a production infrastructure implementations and possess both hypervisor and server/CPU hardware expertise, and at least one prior job as an IT infrastructure architecture, delivery or operations team leader. Current knowledge of the ongoing developments in server virtualization, cloud architecture, cloud management areas and user community are also of importance for the successful candidate. Role includes the ability to provide operational guidance for infrastructure design, capacity planning, functionality testing, and load testing of virtualized computing environments, documentation as well as training of other organizations and ongoing server solution support.

The candidate should possess expert knowledge of VM technology with experience to include detailed level VM system architecture, application deployment in VM environments, VM management, distributed computing systems, implementation, operations, and replication experience. Experience with Network Services/Telecom industry is a plus. Domestic and international travel may be required. Direct web development and software architecture experience are required.

• Develop Automation platform for delivering and managing Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure including: Windows, Linux, VMWare, AWS, physical servers and networks
• Work closely with other infrastructure and application teams to develop, plan and implement automation products/services for deployments and manageability
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud and On-Prem infrastructure via automation scripting and working with API’s
• Support cloud and On-Prem servers including security configurations, patching and troubleshooting
• Develop scripts for automating client/server functions
• Monitor automated systems recovery solutions

• Develops and maintains the comprehensive systems architectures, frameworks and application interfaces
• Works with senior IT staff and management to develop and maintain company technical processes and standards (ITIL based)
• Reviews and approves technical designs for conformance to standards and architectural requirements
• Provides consultation and assists project teams in formulating solutions
• Must be able to perform under tight timeframes and execute problem solving skills
• Identifies and understands the key drivers that impact the business

• Establish technical specifications that facilitate easy, accurate coding or scripting/configuration

• Develops appropriate metrics to measure total system performance
• Applies an understanding of the key vulnerabilities related to data transfer between internal/external systems to maximize data security and integrity

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree (BA/BS Computer Science) is required and a graduate degree is preferred Equivalent experience can be substituted for the degree requirement
• 2+ years of hands-on experience on Cloud platforms – AWS, Azure and VMWare
• Experience in DevOps, Automation and Scripting technologies including: Ansible, Python, Power Shell, GIT and CI/CD tools
• Experience in large project implementation using: AWS EC2, ELB, S3, IAM, ECS etc. (or) Azure Compute, Cloud services, Azure Active Directory, Traffic Manager, Express Route
• 9+ years of design and implementation experience with distributed applications
• In depth technical skills in infrastructure design and server infrastructure implementation
• Knowledge about APIs and to architect cloud ready applications
• Experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototype and reference models
• Familiarity with datacenter concepts and best practices, high-availability systems, capacity planning, system performance evaluation, and diagnostic techniques and methodologies
• Strong communication skills in order to effectively communicate with and make strategic recommendations to Senior and Executive Management as well as all levels of internal/external service partners
• A deep passion for technology and a love of learning new things
• Ability to understand business processes and develop APIs, Cloud Native applications
• Ability to understand customer’s business and suggest connected value proposition with other Digital offerings
