In partnership with Katie, the Managing Partner, this role is an amazing opportunity to lead the advertising team into a new era of client service and creative excellence and lead a team, in partnership with our sister agency in the US, on a new global launch for an oncology drug.

We are looking for someone who is aware of the latest trends in HCP and patient engagement and communications and likes to consider new ways of doing things. We are a dynamic, in-demand business, and now is the time to shed our traditional agency skin and reflect the more sophisticated communications needs of our clients, integrating data analytics, channels and content to reach audiences and make an impact like never before.

Client Service / Communication

  • Team leader to both the agency team and the client
  • Responsible for the running of accounts across all aspects (including financial processes and profitability)
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the client's business and actively seek opportunities to grow your account
  • Responsible for overseeing and guiding the brand strategy and tactics, and communicate to your teams, so everyone is aligned
  • Approach your accounts from a holistic marketing perspective and understand how digital strategies and engagements can transform a brand; you will look at promotion across all media channels, understanding medical communications and its role in the marketing mix to develop outcomes that meet client objectives
  • Work closely with internal teams (creative, planning, digital strategy, media etc.) to ensure that you are recommending the best and most innovative solutions to client needs
  • Proactively manage relationships with clients and always be on the lookout for opportunities to strengthen or build new relationships within your teams
  • Ability to easily flex your style to adapt to various client corporate cultures

Interpersonal / Leadership Skills

·       Provide strong leadership - effectively direct team members to accomplish desired goals

·       Manage and resolve staff issues including employee performance

·       Support strategic direction and desired culture of agency

·       Assist with recruitment of team members alongside the UK talent acquisition team

·       Manage account staff and client expectations to ensure a positive and productive atmosphere

·       Communicate transparently with your manager and agency executives

·       Solve client issues and independently moderate conflicts with significant complexity and political sensitivity

·       Provide regular coaching and mentoring to direct reports

Creative Contribution / Advertising and Digital Savvy

·       Evaluate creative work and provide constructive comments

·       Foster senior level partnerships with the creative team

·       Effectively sell the creative product to the client

·       Keep abreast of marketing / advertising and brand-specific trends in order to offer added-value to the client / creative product

·       Champion the brand and the organisation

·       Strong understanding of digital channels and digital behaviours, and the ability to develop innovative, digitally-integrated strategies which support client business strategies

·       Experience with various aspects of digital marketing and measurement – understanding of how technology tools, platforms and data management shape and enable customer engagement

·       Seek out and explore new and emerging trends in the digital marketing landscape and share these with the agency and your clients

·       Seen as a strategic leader by your team and instrumental in ensuring that your accounts follow the agreed strategic direction

·       Finger on the pulse of relevant market, industry and digital trends and will use this knowledge to continually innovate your accounts and provide new and exciting ideas to your clients

Financial Acumen

·       Responsible for the team forecast and attaining revenue and profitability targets

·       Know the overall performance at any given point in time throughout year and ensure work is completed within budget by project

·       Know the details on overages by job

·       Understand the agency revenue and profitability model and prepares and present account forecasts

·       Aggressively monitor fee performance to ensure account profitability

·       Determine and negotiate budget needs and provide input to fee development

·       Vigilantly seek to optimise the agency services and internal resources

·       Keep an accurate record of time spent on client work via timesheets and attain client percentage billable target
