Job Description

The Global Network Operations Lead is responsible for driving connectivity and consistency throughout the Starcom network (especially with global client and market leads). They play and important role in supporting Starcom’s Global Brand President strategically and operationally on all-important agency initiatives that deliver on the objectives of the Starcom brand within Publicis Media.  Global Brand Starcom remit includes but is not limited to: client relationships, product excellence and innovation, culture/talent and growth, organic and new business.  

In addition, it includes initiatives enabling strong connectivity and interdependency with the other Publicis Media brands and global practices/services, along with other Publicis brand offerings – with the objective of ensuring no siloes exist.  This includes client work, internal projects, and productivity management as and when required.

Candidates must have strong team-building and collaborative skills, be highly decisive, and have good intuition. Must be quick to learn basic facts and understand the strategic missions of the initiatives. It's important that this person be an effective communicator and have the ability to quickly brief the Starcom Global Brand President and provide recommendations on projects – where the expertise lies, how to construct the approach to the program, etc.  In addition, they must have strong written communication skills – particularly presentation writing.

Stamina is critical – the job demands a highly productive person, with the energy and determination to produce the highest-quality work for every initiative.

Knowledge of the media agency landscape and talent is critical – global experience knowledge is helpful but not mandatory.  The candidate must be able to create a commercial advantage for the Starcom Global Brand President for projects in the context of the current and future agency landscape in both the US and rest of world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct a harmonious flow of all work related to assigned projects and act as a first-level filter of all content requiring Starcom Global Brand President review and or approval
  • Consultation and project management on internal facing projects: e.g. product development, PM global practice projects, agency POVs, Publicis Groupe initiatives, etc.
  • Starcom Global Brand President/Client top-to-top content creation
  • Lead annual brand business planning and initiative development
  • Manage global team budget, tracking and invoices
  • Manage agenda and next steps for monthly Starcom Global team meetings
  • Compile Brand President report for PM14 meetings
  • Drive agenda for monthly market lead and global client lead calls
  • Lead global prospecting efforts in coordination with prospecting team
  • New business consultation and content review as deemed necessary
  • Research related to competitive agencies, media landscape or mergers/acquisitions
  • Create and manage relationships with other key Starcom leaders
  • Create and manage relationships with Publicis Groupe partners
  • Create and manage relationships with consultants, vendors, and partners
  • Foster an environment of winning, teamwork, and positive momentum throughout the agency

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in top client/agency management or business development
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrates highest level of trust and confidentiality
  • Expert in Powerpoint, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels of management both internally and externally (encompasses verbal, written, listening skills)
  • Performs well in front of others and comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management
  • Ability to work autonomously – active, hard-working, competitive
  • Strong time management skills(schedules, timelines, task prioritization)
