Job Description

What You’ll Do:

The Associate Media Director oversees the team's media buying/investment initiatives and will focus on servicing our client in the creation, execution, and monitoring of integrated media plans to secure the best investment options in a variety of channels to maximize reach to targeted consumers.

The AD will manage and direct Media teams, including Managers, Senior Analysts and Analysts. Proven account management and team leadership experience is essential, along with experience in search & social and/or programmatic space.

A successful candidate will have at least 5 years of media experience in the search/social/programmatic media space and is a data-driven, strategic thought leader and decision-maker who strives to foster an environment of welcomed creativity and learning for their team.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor client service delivery executions of the assigned accounts
  • Oversee process development and execution management
  • Assures quality control of all media planning and implementation
  • Ensure best practices are in place
  • Implement planning process for the assigned account and holistic media planning across all digital disciplines paid search, programmatic, and social
  • Motivate, lead, and manage internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ performance and business objectives
  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships through exceptional client service
  • Contribute to creation of action plans for achieving and measuring digital media success, including setting key metrics, measurement and optimization strategies
  • Provide direction as needed for improving campaign performance through optimization and/or implementing new features and strategies
  • Lead and assist in coaching, managing, and educating a team of Analysts, Sr. Analysts, and Managers
  • Work within a cross functional team: Data & Analytics, CDM/Data, Audience Insights, Strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising, business, engineering, statistics, economics, sociology, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience managing Search, Social and/or Programmatic Media Buying
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Strong leadership skills and professionalism and be comfortable presenting ideas to senior client management
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret campaign performance data and provide insights and optimization recommendations
  • Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
  • Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Strong analytics, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong client facing experience with the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel
