Publicis Groupe has been appointed by Beiersdorf as the global agency partner for NIVEA, the world’s leading skin-care brand, for every market globally. For NIVEA we have built a bespoke agency called Publicis One Touch, a name that embodies the NIVEA brand purpose of ‘The Power of Touch’. 

Publicis One Touch is a new agency model that brings together data, creativity and technology to help build a truly integrated approach to the Nivea brand. This model is designed to dramatically improve the effectiveness, efficiency, creativity and consistency of NIVEA marketing. 

To deliver the creative scope and the implementation we will have powerhouses across 8 hubs in New York, Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, Bangkok, Moscow. The new Agency will be led from a Hamburg HQ, and use a network of Publicis One Touch teams in over 40 other markets to cover the NIVEA world.

Job Description

Responsible for the day to day running of accounts in all aspects including financial processes while proactively managing and developing team members

  • Strategic client contact and advisor, with visible ongoing engagement with key clients
  • Whilst retention and growth of accounts is a key responsibility, the expectation is that the Account Director will also generate new business within current clients and new clients and will lead new business pitches 
  • Owns the client relationship on assigned brand (in this case, the account will most likely be overarching Brand campaigns, and/or Face care projects)
  • Owns the brand strategy and effectively influences the client to achieve brand objectives
  • Contributes to and may be accountable for new business development
  • Finances: Understands agency revenue and profitability model. Ensures work is completed within budget by project. Owns the revenue and forecast for the brand . Determines and negotiates budget needs; provides input to fee development 
  • Trouble shoot: Keeps management informed of account status, problems, plans, and meetings and gets senior management involved as needed
  • Comprehensive understanding of client's business 
  • Problem solving: Solves client issues, independently moderates conflicts with significant complexity and political sensitivity 

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience, 3+ years experience managing others
  • Strong, significant experience as an Account Supervisor or in leading projects and plans
  • Digital campaiging experience
  • Ideally FMCG and even beauty/care category experience
  • Knowledge and experience in working on a global brand, understanding localization and transcreation 
  • Pro-active, detail oriented and organised personality
  • Fluency in written and spoken English 
  • Able to bring a positive energy and can-do attitude to the team and client on a daily basis, showing resiliance in sometimes tiring situations.
  • Flexible and adaptible to an almost start-up kind of culture.
  • International profile to run global business
