Job Description

Publicis Media opens the door to working with highly visible Fortune 500 clients and learning more about how the world of advertising works. The role is exciting for anyone interested in learning and growing in the world of consumer and advertising research and gives the rare ability to work across many different industries and methodologies for understanding the consumer.  In partnership with SVP research, as well as the media strategy teams, s/he will conduct and manage research projects that result in a deeper understanding of consumer behaviors, customer experience and media effectiveness.  The Research Supervisor will be a major contributor to the custom research team through delivering insightful analysis and findings on understanding our client’s consumers, which ultimately will be used to drive strategic decision-making in media and marketing for our clients. We have a small team and are looking for someone to join us who has a positive attitude, is inquisitive, thoughtful and has a genuine thirst for knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage qualitative and quantitative primary research projects from sample planning to screener/questionnaire design to analyzing and presenting results directly to clients, working closely with the rest of the team
  • Collaborate with the research team, planning teams and sometimes top management, to come up with innovative ways and/or innovative types of questions to answer our clients’ business challenges through custom research
  • Able to conduct business meetings and presentations with internal and external clients in a professional, engaging manner
  • Manage vendors to ensure high level execution on each study
  • Manage project timelines and meet key deadlines to ensure timely project execution and delivery
  • Work closely with a tight-knit team to create and inspire innovative thinking, insightful and actionable learnings and contribute to finding creative ways to ask the right questions and to convey quantitative data in a visual simple manner

  • Ability to think analytically and find trends, and sometimes solace, in large data sets
  • Ability and interest to tell a story through data, with a focus on actionable insights
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of primary/custom research methodologies, and processes with an interest in learning more
  • Experience with working in/managing a range of qualitative, quantitative research vendors
  • Strong client presentation and business writing skills
  • Ability to be flexible and have a positive attitude for different types of projects, clients, timelines, work processes, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently but also be a team player
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, with a focus on being able to simply and creatively show quantitative results
  • 4-6 years custom research experience (preferably at an agency, media owner or market research firm)
  • Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science degree (preferably with a focus on psychology, marketing, research and/or statistics)
  • A sense of humor
