Job Description

This role collaborates directly with subject matter experts and project managers. You will be immediately responsible for updating and developing eLearning content. The successful candidate will need to have a diverse, blended learning background that includes learning design, learning technology tools, project management and an instinct for developing innovative, creative and engaging adult learning experiences.

Required Skills:

  • Develop interactive, engaging courses using Storyline 360
  • Adhere to adult learning theory and proven instructional design principles
  • Incorporate creativity in order to appeal to a diverse, global audience
  • Follow development guidelines to ensure courses meet technical, functional, and LMS requirements
  • Use graphics and assets appropriately to support content
  • Troubleshoot technical and functional issues as appropriate
  • Work independently, yet collaborate with the broader team to ensure course alignment
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders, subject matter experts, project managers, and training development team members
  • Work on-site and remotely with subject matter experts to collect data for training needs, performance requirements, operating procedures, technical systems, processes, and other related information
  • Comfortable working both on-site and remotely with project managers to produce outstanding eLearning
  • Design targeted, interactive, and engaging eLearning that supports and enables performance objectives
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity of communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members
  • Demonstrate excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in accordance with the client’s style guides and branding

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate learning environments, developing and designing corporate-wide learning programs with engaging and relevant learning elements. Experience establishing and measuring training key performance indicators to ensure compliance, effectiveness and return on investment to the organization. Can demonstrate strong competence in influential leadership, assertively and effectively gaining consensus, managing through ambiguity and successfully partnering with all levels of the organization.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Industrial Psychology, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years of experience in Instructional Design, Development Technical Writing
  • Experience with multiple authoring tools used to create interactive instructional materials
  • Working knowledge of Skype and similar web conferencing tools
  • Strong communication written skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Flexibility in shifting focus in a fast-paced environment with continually changing priorities
  • Experience working in a corporate or professional services environment
