PMX is the trading arm of Publicis Media, working with all Publicis Agencies (namely, Starcom, Zenith, Blue449 & Spark, Digitas – as well as local agencies), in Publicis Media Markets, with some assistance provided to our P1 (emerging) markets as needed. 

The Rest of World (RoW) team predominately cover EMEA and APAC markets, working in conjunction with our team in the US who is responsible mainly for North America (including Canada), with global leadership/oversight in New York. The team works with multiple media & technology partners, internal PM teams and PM Clients. The PMX Global team provide both strategic advice and support as well as more technical direction. Job Description

We are looking for a senior Digital Media expert for the role of Business Director of Digital Standards, RoW to join the PMX team based in London. The role requires a candidate who can multi-task across numerous projects and communicate and engage with up to 30 markets, globally. The candidate would need to be able to think from a global perspective but also understand local challenges and generate solutions for the local nuances. This candidate will need to have the ability to communicate messages, take feedback and present information in an easily digestible format on multiple topics. 

This role sits under the PMX umbrella and requires skillsets on Digital Standards, which addresses media quality through key focuses on Viewability, Brand Safety, Ad Fraud, Data Standards & Verification. This central practice will also evaluate best practices across Video, Audio, eCommerce, as well as the major digital platform partners. 

This role will report into the EVP of Digital Standards based in New York; helping them deliver the day to day operations whilst also supporting them to drive the long term vision of the team to inspire Publicis clients and the agencies to focus on digital standards from a single global voice.  

Qualifications

New Business 

  • Assisting on Global new business pitches, from written submissions to presenting in the pitch itself (dependent on requirements from new business)
  • Knowledge of all developments in the market to order to talk about points of difference to potential clients and showcase PM benefits
  • Working with the Value Management team to showcase efficiencies and added value of PMX Digital Standards
  • Educating teams internally on the new business approach, including supporting local markets for global consistency  

Client Engagement

  • Educating clients on Digital Standards and supporting them in their managing and setting their own Standards model
  • Showcasing strategic value of partnerships to clients, based on client objectives and creating bespoke packages to support those objectives across the year, from our global partnerships and beyond (regional specific)
  • Communicate and package new opportunities from our US team to RoW markets and add relevant context 
  • Supporting PMX Trading with collating data and insight for EMEA regional deals, adding value through global knowledge and relationships

Industry Body Involvement

  • Involvement in 5-10 industry groups, including; EACA, JICWebs, IAB Europe, GARM and MRC to address challenges in the industry, collaborate on new initiatives and help drive the future of Digital Standards with the industry. 
  • This involves working with the other leads on Standards from the other key holding companies. Industry involvement will range from meetings, to participation on panels and interviews for public facing articles/documents. 

Brand Safety Incidents 

  • Support on brand safety incidents, including supporting markets and teams with reports and data for clients 
  • Creation of full incident report & POV on the incident, working with relevant internal teams and corporate communications team to get documentation out in a timely manner 

Team Management

  • Candidates will be managing UK operations as 2-3 managers that cover RoW engagements
  • Day to day management of the team, providing guidance and support in their delivery against our key topics (Ad Fraud, Viewability, Brand Safety and Data Standards and channels (Video, Audio, UGC platforms, commerce and verification partners) – these topics and channels are rotated quarterly across the team. 
  • Oversee team analysis of PM benchmarks, including local Social & vertical specific and finding areas to improve

Internal Alignment 

  • Working with all Publicis Media practices (Precision, Commerce, Data Sciences etc.) to ensure alignment on key projects and new positions 
  • Aligning with key practices on content calendars and broader market communication to ensure clear and consistent messaging to the agencies 
  • Management of the Digital Standards & Safety Platform, ensuring usage and upkeep of content on a weekly basis 
  • Working with contract operations to track rollout of Standards Terms & Conditions in all local deals
  • Work with the US Tech Standards team to understand and communicate verification product changes
