Job Description

Spark Foundry’s planning department is the heart of the agency – in terms of its function, its people and its location. Our clients are professional but also creative and fun, and this is reflected in the way we work and relate to each other. We are looking for an ambitious individual, who has the vision and skills to move their clients forward in new directions. This role is primarily focused on the Dixons Carphone account, with the lesser amount of time being assigned to Blue Cross. We are looking for a strong Digital Account Director to help lead these brands whilst gaining valuable experience within the various sectors. 

The Clients

Dixons Carphone are a market leading electrical and mobile retailer/service company. They are a fundamental pillar of the Spark Foundry business, and are the biggest digital spender in the agency (leading the way on digital planning and the use of programmatic). They are split into four key business divisions; Carphone Warehouse, iD Mobile, Currys PC World and Currys PC World Business.

Blue Cross is a UK based animal welfare charity that provides a multitude of services such as support for pet owners who cannot afford private veterinary treatment, finding homes for unwanted animals and education of the public in the responsibilities of animal ownership.

The Role

  • You will lead the strategic direction for Blue Cross and iD Mobile, as well as providing assistance with the direction of the Currys and Carphone Warehouse accounts.
  • You will develop and maintain strong relationships with your client and partnering agency members.
  • You will continually put new things in front of the client on a regular basis to drive innovation on the account.
  • You will aid the Senior Account Director with important projects, such as attribution, incrementality tests and audience segmentation.
  • You will support QA with the team to ensure that reports, PCAs, plans, rationale decks etc are delivered to a high standard.
  • You will effectively manage both up to the SAD, as well as down to the junior members of your team.

Qualifications

  • You will have 5 years+ proven experience in digital media planning.
  • You possess a solutions-orientated attitude that ensures that the best possible solutions are delivered at all times.
  • You will have proven planning experience across a variety of digital channels; in particular display and paid social.
  • You will possess proven experience and a strong working knowledge of multiple digital media platforms/landscapes.
  • You will be a proactive team member, with the initiative to find solutions around limitations.
  • You are a motivational leader, with the ability to bring out the best in junior members of the team when mentoring and training.
