Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We’re looking for someone who’s looking for something. Someone who’s not quite content with where they are and what they’ve got. Someone who spends their time dreaming, making, doing, building, creating. Someone with the intelligence to think, challenge, and push things into unexpected places, without pushing people into unpleasant places. We’re looking for someone who can produce work that looks, sounds, and feels like it’s been artworked by an artworker, not monkeyed by a monkey. Someone who doesn’t believe rules are absolute or good enough is good enough. Someone who doesn’t really like advertising, but can’t help loving it just a little. We’re looking for someone special. You will ensure the agency’s creative product is executed to the highest possible standard and that delivery deadlines are met. You will have previous agency experience working across a wide range of advertising and marketing materials across print and digital, a great eye for design and excellent attention to detail.

You should be capable of working proactively alongside art directors and designers to accurately develop scamps and ideas to finished layouts, including implementing copy changes and revisions. This includes preparing error-free artwork for print and digital, including banners, emailers, iPad e-details and websites. You will be responsible for preparing and monitoring corporate guidelines, master logos and PI’s for consistent use throughout the agency. You should be familiar with creating and editing PowerPoint presentations, and be able to prepare colour mock-ups and presentation boards. You will be required to sign off artwork once complete, produce high resolution PDF’s for final reproduction and check printers’ proofs when necessary.

You’ll be confident, pro-active, have a desire to exceed expectations, excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail, a passion for delivering great work, be adept at working collaboratively, able to prioritise workload and highlight potential issues, work quickly and accurately, cope well under pressure, and be curious and inquisitive.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE 

·       A further education qualification in graphic design or printing and / or strong previous experience in a similar environment

·       Advanced knowledge of the design standard software packages in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)

·       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

·       First class Mac visualisation skills

·       An appreciation of design and layout, and a good eye for detail

·       Excellent knowledge of print and repro, including a thorough understanding of the production process from concept to final item

·       A sound understanding of digital design, with experience of producing assets for banners, apps and websites

·       A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
