Associate, Data Engineer

What you’ll do:  

The Data & Technology team develops the processes and systems to help clients build growth through data-driven insights.  We are looking for an Associate, Data Engineer who can analyze massive and disparate data sets and develop the necessary software tools to automate the ingestion and analysis of this data. This is a full-time position based in our Westport, CT office. 

Day-to-day, your role includes:

• Managing the entire data life cycle (acquisition, ETL and reporting)
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of our suite of data integration & analytics tools
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive success for client’s business goals

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

• Self-motivated, independent, highly organized & hard-working
• Excellent communication skills
• 3+ years of SQL experience.  Solid understanding of standard ETL processes, relational databases, and SQL queries. Preferably Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years of programming experience.  MS Visual Studio development is preferred
• Proficient in MS Excel.  Macro programming & OLE automation experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IRI or Nielsen scanner data is a plus
• MIS, CS degree or relevant work experience
