Job Description

The SVP, Creative and Comms Strategy on the MolsonCoors portfolio works directly with the MolsonCoors Content & Media teams to discover consumer insights to inform to content and media strategies, work with brand and media teams to develop strategies based on these insights and be a spirited storyteller to deliver big ideas to clients.

On MC brands, in addition to providing strategic oversight and insights, the SVP, Creative and Comms Strategy is equal partner with Strategy Directors to deliver the overarching communication strategy and approach the brands will embark on and gives indications of how the strategy and subsequent ideas are brought to life. 

The role provides thought leadership and clear communication direction in both developing large brand ideas for annual plans and also on an ad hoc basis. This could include consumer profiling work, to portfolio strategies, faciliation of brainstorms and workshops and participating in client ideation and planning sessions.

The abiltiy to act as the authoritative voice to clients and partner agencies is crucial as are exceptional client servicing skills.

The breadth of the role provides the opportunity for the candidate to apply their knowledge and experience across many different facets of the communications sphere and work in a tight-knit team enviroment on fun and exciting brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the consumer journey, strategies, consumer insights and audience targeting for business growth using industry standard research, proprietary research, client research, DMP driven insights, analytics insights and creative brand planning insights
  • Proactively determine where and how in-depth insight about the consumer’s attitude and behavior can help make the client’s marketing more successful
  • Collaborate with creative agencies to ensure that media and creative insights are synergistic and that the big ideas you both develop can come to life in media
  • Build strong relationships with the MillerCoors Brand Teams, ensuring that the strategic output is infused into content and media plans 
  • Uncover consumer receptivity and the opportunity to change consumer behavior through brand behavior
  • Contextualize the influences that impact consumer engagement 
  • Provide inspiration, innovation and ideas to guide exciting people-centric brand experiences and inspire partner agencies with our strategies
  • Experienced client relationship leader with confident management skills
     

Qualifications

  • Four year degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 15 years of Media and Marketing industry experience with 5+ years of staff management and team leadership
  • Proven success working across disciplines, namely Creative pillars and external agencies 
  • Expertise in both digital & traditional Media
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in different types of Media
  • Proven leadership ability and previous client relationship experience
  •  A presence/voice and influence within the larger Media circuit
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MRI, and Nielsen
  • Track record of successful problem-solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
