Job Description

The Media Supervisor will focus on servicing clients in the creation, execution and monitoring of intergrated media plans to secure the best investment options in a variety of mediums across several local markets (OOH, Print, Television, Radio and Sponsorship).  The focus will be maximizing clients’ reach to targeted consumers.  The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful decision maker who loves data and has the proven ability to lead strategic planning and buying initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation and audience development.  Must-haves include at least three years of relevant media experience across multiple channels and a proven ability to build and maintain external and internal relationships.  This is an energetic, supportive and collaborative team that manages a friendly, partnership-driven client and fosters an environment of respect, learning and development.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation and audience development
  • Collaborate with Technology Activation team on data collection strategies 
  • Analyze data to inform purchase and channel allocation 
  • Develop guidelines & budget allocations  
  • Own tactical plan development, recommendation building and negotiations across their respective channels 
  • Oversee day-to-day campaign execution and is responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on KPIs 
  • Acts as the channel expert for the team, having heavy communication with the marketplace and developing POVs
  • Support development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas and providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunities
  • Responsible for management and development of Associates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, applied mathematics, consumer insights or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of directly related experience across multiple media channels in planning and/or buying.  Experience within local planning and buying is a huge plus. 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to detect and translate a story behind numbers/data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style
  • Willingness to learn and create solutions that challenge the status quo
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions
  • Negotiation and influence skills – steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge
  • A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
  • Strong process development skills
  • An intrinsic passion for new technology/digital gadgets; and utilization of social media tools to engage and inspire new solutions for clients
  • Proven experience in effectively coaching and developing others 
  • Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint as well as other equivalent programs and as appropriate specific industry tools and technology
