Job Description

The role of the Account Manager is to manage the investment and planning duties within the business team whilst ensuring that client service is of a high standard. The Account Manager’s role is to mentor and train junior staff and work closely with the Account Director to ensure best in class work is delivered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage client business within your portfolio and act as a core contact for media related communication
  • Maintain client working relationships 
  • Anticipate client’s business needs and proactively keep them abreast of the landscape and any opportunities
  • Create, deliver and manage concise media plans that effectively bring a communications strategy to life
  • Foster strong working relationships with the practices and deliver diversified revenue
  • Manage and lead the implementation process
  • Ensure reporting is completed in a timely manner
  • Build strong working relationships with roster agencies and suppliers
 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-6 years industry experience most recently in a similar position or 2 years in a Senior Planner or Senior Buyer position
  • Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Sound business acumen
  • Understanding of Spark Foundry’s media systems
  • Computer Skills
  • Effective Communication
  • Good presentation skills
  • Problem solving skills, in order to navigate foreign situations
  • Team management
  • A great people manager who is looking to help develop their team members
  • Has the ability to develop strong relationships with the media and clients
  • A positive attitude to media with a strong desire to succeed
  • Ability to be flexible and agile to adjust to changing media landscape as well as team, media and client demands
