Job Description

As the EVP Local, you will be responsible for leading media buying across TV (Efficiency and Local Broadcast) for all client businesses in the US.

Lead all individual local brand operations and work alongside individual agency investment leads to coordinate the Groupe effort.

This position will report into the PMX CIO and can be based in New York City or Chicago.

Specific Responsibilities

Leading Vision, Strategy and Approach

  • Leadership and strategic development of the local TV marketplace strategies, delivery of brand insight and strategy, POVs etc.
  • Vision and implementation of approach/structure to deliver the best results
  • Will serve as PMX lead negotiator on all Groupe-wide local deals
  • Oversee data driven and tech enabled growth of our media capabilities in local: programmatic OOH, audio and local video
  • Create strategies around all local video: OTT, CTV, geo-targeted OLV
  • Automation systems ownership: strategy, deal negotiation. Hudson MX, Wide Orbit, etc.
  • Agency implementation of automation and programmatic platforms
  • Connection point to research, insights and trends surrounding measurement of local
  • Publicis point of view on macro and micro topics in local related to political spend, marketplace changes, measurement, etc.

Leading Day to Day Operations, Talent and P&L Operations

  • Lead, be accessible and inspire team
  • Talent succession planning
  • Lead team stewardship of all areas of the business
  • Capability building stewardship – ensure proper transition and learning materials/agenda in place
  • Must have ability to influence and build credibility at senior management level

Leading Strategic and Cross Media Negotiations where necessary

  • This role will need to build, grow and nurture relationships
  • Overall needs to have pulse and involvement in all negotiations– must be aware and involved as needed

Strategic Depth with Activation Credibility

  • You do not need to have a long history of buying experience but need to have strong strategy with extensive exposure, appreciation and respect for buying process – particularly in Local TV (DRTV a plus).
