Job Description

An Associate Project Manager leads a variety of small scale projects within MRY and is responsible for successful delivery on time, on budget, top quality, and meeting clients business objectives. 


Responsibilities 

  • Management of projects from kick-off to delivery on time, on budget, and on brief with oversight from a PM or SPM.  
  • Being the POC for all departments, the APM is the person clients and internal team members rely on for everything they need to know about a project: what to expect, what to do next, where they need to be, where an image is on the server, what the dial in number is for a conference call, what the staffing plan is, and much more. Reduce projects to a set of manageable tasks and develop SOWs, staffing plans, and executional strategy with oversight from a PM or SPM. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to all departments and team members on projects: drive the critical path, ensure the team is hitting milestone dates, keep time intensive tasks on track and up-to-date, and manage the team to the scoped financial parameters. 
  • Define the scope of projects (goals, deliverables, schedule, and budget). 
  • Keep projects on track through clear task lists, issue tracking, status reports, and meeting notes. 
  • Lead efficient meetings and conference calls with the ability to effectively setup the presentation of creative work. 
  • Clearly communicate project issues and resolution to the client and internal team. 
  • Supports PMs, SPMs, and Program Directors on projects of varying levels of complexity.  

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in the advertising industry or related experience managing large cross-functional teams and clients. 
  • Experience with various projects types in digital and traditional agency settings – traditional and digital production. 
  • Experience managing large interdisciplinary teams of more than 5 people. 
  •  Excellent negotiation experience (especially contract negotiations) with both clients and partners 
  • Public speaking skills and experience
